Hello Ninaplusfabian, and welcome to the Dumbledore's Army Roleplay Wiki! I saw that you put your character in for Sorting, and you have been Sorted into Ravenclaw. Congratulations! Now you can start making your character page. Create a new page with your character name by clicking this button: . It should be at the top right corner of your screen. Click the arrow and click 'Add a Page'. Choose the 'Blank Layout' and type your character name in the box. Make sure it's properly punctuated and it's exactly the way you want it.

Then you can start filling out your character page with information about your character. What does your character look like? What is his or her personality like? You can look at other character pages for ideas (i.e. Karith Black, Teresa Waters). Also make sure you add a Category for your House (Eg. [[Category:Ravenclaw]]).

You can check out the starting guide for the next step. If you need any further help, send me a post on my talk page. You can also ask for help from anyone in the administration team.

Wands and RP in generalEdit

Hi Ninaplusfabian, I'm Alex (Jiskran), an Admin here at DARP. I play Ollivander, and I noticed you tried to have your character post there. Character creation has several phases.

1. Create a Sorting Forum, Student or Adult as appropriate.

2. Wait for the character to be Sorted (Approved).

3. Create a character page ( e.g. Lacey Savrin), and a talk bubble to go with it, so you can RP.

4. RP.

OK, first of all your username is lengthy, so is NF okay to use?

1. How to create a page here - first, press 'Contribute' (top right, just below your sign-in)

2. On the drop-down menu click 'Add a Page'

3. On the setup that creates put a title (e.g. character name), and select 'Blank Page', then click 'Add Page' at the bottom.

4. Type the character (or other) info.

However, as far as I can see, your char was created many months ago and never used. Is that right?

Talk bubbleEdit

OK, NF, here it is. You can change anything about it that you want to, but it will at least let you start. :)

Now 5~ needs five separate~, but if I type them here it will print the current time. The { { need to be together (no gap), but if I do that here it will generate a talk bubble - same with } }.

So, for example,

Ally Ravenclaw -"Bring me that horizon"  – 21:28, January 17, 2013 (UTC) "Nice to meet you, NF." *She grins.*

Possible wrinkleEdit

For me, favorite character is a really hard question. I don't have a pin-point set-in-stone favorite. My very favorite would be Patrica or Joy, I think; and then Alfie or Amber would be my second favorite, I think, because they are so endearing. AdoptionEdit

It's great to see characters recycled, NF, but you do realise that when you take them on the Professors are currently - not, right? In other words, they don't have a teaching role at present, and would have to reapply for another school year. Alex Jiskran 19:12, January 27, 2013 (UTC)

CAPSEdit

As you created the template with caps, NF, you have to write it with caps when you want to use it. The text entry for your char is just 'Alaina='. Alex Jiskran 21:35, January 27, 2013 (UTC)

NF's Char's Edit

Hey NF, I was just going to ask, if you would please, add a category to all of your characters you own, and categorize them as NF's Chars, that way us admins and other users can find them all easily without a hassle. All you need to do, if you don't know how already, is to put this at the bottom of each of your owned character's pages:         [ [Category:NF's Chars] ] without spaces of course. Thanks, Colin687

Word bubblesEdit

If you look up an RP they were involved in, NF, and click the 'Source' tab at the top right of the page, you'll be able to see the template name used. Then you put 'Template:(What you found)' into the search box and it will take you to the page. Alex Jiskran 13:36, February 9, 2013 (UTC)
