New Tool Edit

Hey Jisk, HoR has created us a new Batch Delete tool, which you can access though "My Tools" in the bar at the bottom. You're supposed to be able to list pages and they will all be deleted. I'll handle this Jisk. We do give students 7 spells of their year at the beginning of each year, so as long as the character gets updated that's fine. A Question of Attitude Edit

I do see what you're getting at, however looking at the roleplay I think the teacher is taking points more for the attitude than the actual actions taken. If a student "Sauntering in" late to class, called the great hall a "farce" and the lesson was on the "Meteolojinx Recanto" spell and then the student made worse weather? Further, if when I asked the student to go see their Head of House, and they acted innocent "The picture of injured innocence" (which to me implies they're not innocent and playing the part), I would also be taking points from the student, just for the attitude. However, if you're truely upset about this, I would be honest with Professor Ramley, as she tends to be pretty fair, especially considering that Slytherins tend to have attitude and get into trouble more than the other Houses. I doubt she'll give back any House Points, but she might give some advice how to not lose anymore. ....but can you say you didn't have any teachers that would act in this manner also? Again, I know the question is about editing what was said after the fact, but honestly misunderstandings and slips do happen in real life, and as I said if it were me, I would be taking the points because of the attitude, not the specific spells that were cast. If a different student had done the same thing, do you think the teacher would have reacted as she did? I doubt it...but I think your character's attitude set themselves up to be misunderstood and get into trouble. Bond_em7 (Owl Me) 13:20, April 5, 2013 (UTC)

If that is the case, then it will be dealt with IC with the usual treatment that troublemaking Slytherins tend to recieve. It interesting how differently Slytherins react. A Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw would have wanted to make up the points, and worked harder to do so. A Gryffindor would have shrugged and forgotten about it, feeling it was a misunderstanding. Only a Slytherin would have gone to the "revenge" response, which is I guess why so many of them end up in my office. If that is the appropriate IC response, that's fine, just know that it'll be dealt with appropriately, as we do with all characters who insist on causing trouble. And this is another reason we have Prefects. If he loses enough House Points, hopefully the House prefects or even the other students will try to get him to stop as he's hurting his whole House by constantly losing points. Lacey SavrinEdit

The problem, is that all the tags are not closed, and some aren't closed in the right place. When you are dealing with columns, this is an easy mistake to make, but a hard one to fix. I'll try and see what tags aren't closed and where - but otherwise, I'm going to have to suggest to revert to the latest edit where is worked OR redo the columns.

Mine dropped about 30 yesterday. Usually it's caused by deleted pages, but sometimes when you edit a lot, your edit count is actually lower than shown. That being said, every so often it will recalculate, and thus it drops.

Multiple thingsEdit

Only? Lacey is the only one? Really? Out of the few that you mentioned, I have to give the rest of your characters the benefit of doubt. Steve is too dangerous, like wooden rollercoaster danger! :P Yes, he is a sweet soul, so I guess you win there. Eleanor may be kind and gentle but she is also a Gryffindor, C'mon! Gryffindor to me, means danger or at least some of the excitement that goes along with danger.

Golden Silence in Potions. You are sort of the only Seventh year, I would appreciate if you posted. Something, anything at all even kill me with with your insanely accurate questions.

In CoMC. I was thinking of having Laela say something along the lines of "Speak English" in response to Steve. Only because I thought it was funny, but doesn't do much to progress the lesson so I left it alone.

Rookou extension. "Abraxas Rookou II married Fortuna Dura, and they had 3 children called Mirava Rookou, Sphinx Rookou II and Arcturus Rookou II" What are your thoughts on a physical representation of Mirava Rookou?

Anyway, I don't really think that Steve is overpowered. As far as I know, his spell list is limited, (he can only learn up until a certain year if I'm not mistaken) and based on the RP's it tends to tire him out and he doesn't always succeed anyway, so I think that makes up for the special ability. Most people who were on chat at the time agreed, except a few thought that if it were a regular user who'd request for a char of theirs to have TK, their request would be denied. I'd understand their point if you were abusing his TK, but so far Steve's been using it for good, like saving Jed. Besides, a regular user might not be responsible enough to have a char with this ability, and most likely abuse it. Oh, and by the way, I'm glad you trust my judgment. :) -LittleRedCrazyHood

Absences Edit

Hey Jisk, these next 2 weeks are going to be hellish for me. I have finals for my 2 classes along with homework, 10 page research papers, and presentations in each. So, I'll be around and make sure I keep my classroom updated, but other than that I may be conspicuously absent. If there's anything that immediately requires my attention or important rp's that I need to post on that I don't notice, let me know. Otherwise I just really won't be around as much until these classes are done.

I definitely won't be making the mistake of taking 2 classes again in the fall, but I just wanted to give you a heads up about these couple weeks.

Also, on a side note, I'll be on vacation from may 25th-June 8th, and dont' know what sort of internet I'll have, so I may be still posting then, or I may be completely cut off. I'll let you know more as it comes closer, but I wanted to give you a heads up and let you know I'll look for someone to sub my Transfig class for those couple weeks. Roses WOULD smell as sweet, but look weird Edit

So, the name comes from chat. We were playing a game where whomever called her "Red" lost the game, so everyone was calling her different colors. I called her Periwinkle, picking a random and abstract color. Since then everytime I've talked with her on chat I've kept calling her Peri for short so I don't lose the game (though I'm sure just about everyone else has forgotten it completely). So basically it's come around since I refuse to lose. :P. ...and then she made a special "Peri" talk bubble which apparently she uses just for me. So anyway, that's the story, and I'm sticking to it. Still, even if Steve were to presumably keep tabs on Derek and Alice, I still can not think of how Steve would ever find out the secret that Derek has been dieing. Unless somehow, Steve were to be summoned by Shadow directly after their battle and Shadow sent him there to kill him? If you can find an easy way for this to happen, then sure. I was wondering if I could create a strictly NON CANON village outside of Hogwarts on the other side of the Forbidden Forest. I plan for it to be called "The Village of Estel" and house certian magic creatures, like goblins, elves, domesticated centars and perhaps faeries (magical beings in general) as well as Squibs and Wizards. Muggles would also be allowed to live there to be closer to their children at Hogwarts.There'll be a few stores and places to hang out as well. Also, there was a character I was going to ask you to create/own but I can not think of who it was at the moment. But once I think of who it is, I'm sure that you'd love him. I think it may have been a Harrison. Yup! It was! I was wondering if you'd like to take up .... Erick Harrison? I think that's right. He's kind of ironic because he's from the Dark side of the Harrison family tree, but he doesn't live up to their expectations. Erick was sorted into Ravenclaw rather than Slytherin like all of the family members before him, and his parents were always unhappy with that. Also, he's a bit of a coward. He's really good with his words and likes herbology but spell work is where he lacks. What I mean by he's kind of cowardly is like he's afraid of failure, hence forth, I've kind of made him out to be shy, nervous, cowardly, and a bit like - hard to describe - clumsy? I don't know, but if you like him, I'd really like it if you could "adopt" him from the Harrison Family Tree.
