Hello everyone! I am back with yet another AI related blog. However, this one is not in regards to the ongoing Triwizard Tournament but is instead about information relating to the future expansion that can be found here.
What's Happening?[]
As I'm sure you can all guess by the title of this blog, I want to talk to you about the 2038 Minister of Magic elections that would have been taking place now. However, given that there are plans for this minister that I wasn't sure many would want to put one of their own character's through, I have thought of a solution.
What is this Solution?[]
With the next minister, the owner of the character was going to need to work very closely with the AI department in order to carry out plans that we have. All of this will be revealed in due time but to keep it short and sweet, the character elected would ultimately need to die. As myself and the AI team were unsure of whether or not we wanted to have people sign up their characters and go through an entire election just to have their run as minister cut short, we've decided to skip the election process and give the spot to Time's character Alistair Fitzgerald. Time has volunteered the character and fully knows that by doing so, the character's fate has already been decided.
I know some people may not like the idea of us picking the minister and not allowing there to be any election, so if that is the general community consensus where nobody is happy with the solution;
- Alistair's time as minister will be short lived due to the upcoming expansion.
- The election that will take place after Alistair's death will be taken as more of the typical election. However, you must know that character's fate is also already decided by AI.
The Next Election[]
If everyone is content with this solution, then what may happen is AI will look for those willing to have their character become minister for the short time needed, same as Time with Alistair. You would need to be completely willing to work alongside the AI to carry out the set plans we have in order for expansions to run as planned.
If nobody is content with this solution, then as I said above a formal election will be held and the community can vote. But do not sign up a character that you don't want dying. The winner will die, no ifs ands or buts and again they will still need to work alongside AI.
What Happens After?[]
After all these dramatics are done and over with, a third election will happen and that time will be for a full term.
