She was clearly frightened. "...but....but what if it's just me in that darkness and there's...nothing else we can do? Maybe...maybe I'm just the problem and this has all just been a stupid waste of time and money."

She'd shrug. "There's some...darkness in my mind that's keeping me from being able to use my magic right. Faith can't seem to figure out what it is...only that it's been there a long time."

Nymeria had returned to Great Britain from visiting her mother, who she had realized was in dire need of a visit. When she was back, she was glad to get to working at Hogwarts, but between teaching and grading assignments, she needed a break. It was such a whirlwind far too soon, but she eventually settled into a booth by herself.
The high-pitched squeal of a little girl sounded through the resturant, followed by a tall young man. Elise bounced around him before running towards Nymeria, halting. She gazed up at her, chirping. "Hwello! Who are ya?"

Nymeria loved kids (and desperately wanted one of her own), so she reacted with only a slight amount of shock, but mostly with a gentle and motherly smile. "Hey, sweetie. My name is Nymeria, but you can call me Nym," she said, before looking up at who she assumed to be the girl's father. "Oh, it's totally okay. I can understand."
