Stately home staircase
This room is the open area for receiving guests, named after the inclination of a mid-19th century Dowager. It includes a dramatic, even intimidating, stairway up to the first floor and commands a wonderful view of the Gardens. The windows were originally stained glass, but Fortuna found this pretentious, blasting them wide open, and forcing her House elves to fix matters before they ate or slept again.
