She steps inside, realising she's in her family home again. "Maybe I should look for him."
HebathThe Rookery -"As you say." – 08:47, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
*Hebath takes on a totally constipated expression, as it's essential to his survival never to contradict the family, but, on the other hand, he had a rare, almost visionary, flash of her body after crossing her father's path, and that was far from pleasant also. He attempts, with near-zero experience, to hedge.* "Master . . .crumpling, and seeking. Is this time?"
HebathThe Rookery -"As you say." – 09:01, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
*Hebath keeps his face pressed to the floor as he listens to the footsteps receding, and thinks about telling the others to head for the Stables, inherent risks notwithstanding, if they're missing from their duties.*
HebathThe Rookery -"As you say." – 09:27, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
*Hebath hears the voices from the Withdrawing Room, and decides to make a bolt for the Stables, via the Kitchens, where he collects the other three. He'll give it half an hour, then chance Apparating back alone.*
HebathThe Rookery -"As you say." – 14:00, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
*As no further guests are currently expected, Hebath would Apparate into the bushes 50m back and try to identify the figure at the door. Having failed to do so, he would Apparate back into the Entrance Hall, and hesitate as to what to do next.*
HebathThe Rookery -"As you say." – 14:01, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
*After twenty seconds of vacillation, he opens the door a crack.* "Yes . . . *taking in the 'look'* Master?"
HebathThe Rookery -"As you say." – 14:25, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
*Arcturus stands, holding the door, as he bids his guest farewell.* "Good to see you, Black. If you're walking or riding any distance past the gates, please be careful, as we've had several reports of sudden subsidence in this area lately, and you may even have passed signs of repairwork on your way. Even compelling the Muggles, it's so hard to get as much as semi-competent help these days."
*Arcturus closes the door behind Black, then instantly summons Hebath.* "You are to test all the anti-Apparation wards on the basement, I don't care how painful, and to make sure the other underground entrance is as secure from the outside, magically and physically as you can make it, whilst still leaving it available for use from within. Is that understood? Oh, and ensure no one sees you at your work."
HebathThe Rookery -"As you say." – 15:55, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
*Bowing* "Yes, Master." *Apparates away to start work.*
HebathThe Rookery -"As you say." – 21:59, September 26, 2012 (UTC)
*Hebath is utterly bewildered as to whose ideas of a practical joke it might be, to send someone to the Rookery. However, the youngling has the tonals he associates with Dark, and the Master did say something about recruits, so, maybe. . . He can't risk the ire that will fall upon him if the family see her, whether he's right or wrong, so, the Kitchens.* "Please, follow, silent, swift."
Caecey would peep through the window. She saw a girl who she didn't know. "Hebath!" she calls. "Was this girl invited?" She didn't like strange visitors, not after Shadow trying to knock her out.
HebathThe Rookery -"As you say." – 19:39, September 28, 2012 (UTC)
*Internally Hebath is wondering what Mistress Tulula makes of all these young women looking for the Master.* "Enter, Mistress. Follow, please." *He opens the door fully for her, then closes it behind her.*
Adera RookouEx-Slytherin -Blood above all – 19:46, September 28, 2012 (UTC)
*She smiles* Thank you, sorry for not explaining *she takes of her gloves* I'm Adera Rookou, grandchild of Misrada Rookou and Toula Jayne, I'm Arcturus first cousin once removed
HebathThe Rookery -"As you say." – 19:53, September 28, 2012 (UTC)
*Hebath does the calculations.* "Mistress Caecey, Mistress Adera, second cousin."
Adera RookouEx-Slytherin -Blood above all – 19:56, September 28, 2012 (UTC)
*She smiles, she always liked house elves* Thank you, house elf. Is my cousin here?
Caecey would smile, and nod. "I'm Caecey. I used to be a daughter of Arcturus. Yes, he is home, as far as I know. Hebath, please take our visitor to the Withdrawing Room." She would wink. "I'll find him."
Adera RookouEx-Slytherin -Blood above all – 09:42, September 29, 2012 (UTC)
Thank you *she turns to the house elf* Where's the Withdrawing Room little one?
HebathThe Rookery -"As you say." – 09:44, September 29, 2012 (UTC)
"I was at Hogwarts when they went into exile..." She paused, seeing the elf's doubtful look. "I had this book, Bartholomew volume 5, but as soon as we crossed the border to France, it disappeared. I am a Rookou, truly."
HebathThe Rookery -"As you say." – 11:18, September 30, 2012 (UTC)
*Draco raps firmly on the door, caring less and less for the idea that he might be related to the kind of people who would live here. The place looks like something out of the old "New Yorker" Charles Addams cartoons his father collected.*
GingerHouse-Elf, Serving the Rookou Family -"As you say." – 17:48, October 2, 2012 (UTC)
Ginger would look through the door, and open it a crack. "Are you...expected?"
*Draco almost recoils when he sees that it was a house elf interrogating him, and his hand goes to his wand, but he gets his temper back under control, and remembers the impression he wants and needs to make. He follows the elf.*
She would look at Ginger and feel disgust then look to the boy in her home and become annoyed by the amount of people traipsing this usually private home. "Who is this?" she would ask looking closer at him. "One of Caecey's?"
GingerHouse-Elf, Serving the Rookou Family -"As you say." – 18:16, October 2, 2012 (UTC)
*The woman is obviously of some importance, so Draco loses his frown and extends his hand.* "A pleasure to meet you. Arcturus asked me to come, but without any specifics, so I'm afraid I can't even state my business."
GingerHouse-Elf, Serving the Rookou Family -"As you say." – 18:31, October 2, 2012 (UTC)
She shook Draco's hand with all her strength to see if he would 'go easy' because of her age. "My husband is a devilishly mysterious man." She smiled fondly. "Well, If you don't mind waiting for him to make an appearance. I would be very interested to hear more about you. Draco Rookwood is it?"
*If this bit . . . wanted to test strength, he'd accommodate her.* "Yes, Draco Rookwood, from the Ministry of Magic. I'm actually Deputy Head of the Auror Office, so as you may imagine, my desk is stacked high with urgent matters at this juncture."
She would smirk pleased that he had accommodated her. "Don't feel pressured to entertain me. Please return to work, feel free to come back here as both welcomed and expected at a time that better suits you."
"Well, actually ma'am, as it clearly wasn't all that important, I mean, with your husband not being around, I'll just head back and chalk it up to one of those wild goose chases that go with the job. Goodbye, ma'am." *He turns to leave.*
"Ma'am, with all due respect to you and your husband, I really can't go haring around the country, things being what they are, neglecting my duties in the office, just because someone might have something they deem significant to communicate. I understood from the letter he sent that it was truly an urgent matter, and of great consequence to myself, though presumably not to the nation as a whole, or else it would have come to me second-hand from the Auror Head. As you can't tell me what this is about, I feel it can safely be assumed I misunderstood, and your husband will put it down on parchment, if it strikes him as worthwhile."
