Paul is an explorer, willing to check out and understand all the parts of new territory. This territory had to include knockturn alley, and all the dark mysterious shops it contained. Almost at random, he enters The Little Shop, a shop as dull as its name. Or so he beleives anyways. Everywhere he travels, there are places like this, so for him, it isn't anything special or revolutionary. Paul wishes to leave immediately, but stays to give it the benefit of the doubt. He rifles through some chargers, none of which seem to support his iphone. To make it more interesting, he tries to analye why a store like this would exist. Is it the lack of communication with technology? Lack of involvement with muggles? Ted certainly had no qualms with them, and neither had he, so why should others care so much about used trinkets? The store might as well be called a Pawn Shop.
