He doesn't have to clarify-- Malia knows what he means, and she feels sympathetic for him. "Do you need anything?" she asks softly. Losing a parent is tough, especially if you don't have siblings. She was lucky enough to have a couple of them. But this kid - it doesn't seem like he has anyone. She'd help the kid with anything if it was within reason.
"I just need them to stop treating me like a baby," He blurts out, growing upset. "Nobody wants to answer me clearly about what's gonna happen to me now that my aunt and uncle are go- gone. All they're saying is that I'm getting a new home and that's it. I don't even know where it's gonna be. They're all being so secretive about everything it's frustrating." Angry tears have started to form in the corners of his eyes as he clutches the material of his pants. He knows he shouldn't be doing this in a public place but he can't help it.

There's a brief moment of confusion on Basti's face. Cherry guy? But after awhile, he looks in Rain's direction, because there's no one else around him that knows him but her, and probably vice versa, but he doesn't want to be assuming things. He responds anyway, and Basti's telling himself that it's because it's rude not to respond when called. But that's not truly the reason. At the back of his head, he knows that any distraction from the chaos of everything that happened today is a welcome one. Even if it means interacting with a former classmate of his that he's not even sure of her name. Cloud, was it? Sunny, Storm? It was something to do with the weather. But then again, she doesn't seem to know his name as well. He wants to laugh at the irony of it all. Fuck it, let it happen. The sarcastic laugh leaves his mouth anyway, and he starts with, "Yeah, I'm here, aren't I? Judging by all the bodies, they're all lucky wherever they went off to. Probably better than the hell was in there, isn't it?" He should've done better, but at the end of the day, he's a fucking coward.
Her attention flies all the way out from the far reaches of trauma lane and lands on the conversation. "Overheard one of the Healers talking. There are at least twenty dead, the rest in either critical condition or in shock, and then some..." The facts feel like they're scraping her throat. "Some are alive but their minds are gone." She closes her eyes for a heartbeat - and immediately regrets it. There's nothing but blood and pain behind the once safe vault behind her eyelids. "Oh, and on top, no more Butterbeer until this shitstorm's done," she adds for good, sarcastic measure. Silence is too painful, even for her introverted self, to bear right now, so she keeps going. "They get anyone you know?"
Vasi tries to smile back, he really does, but it's clear he doesn't fully believe it himself. If only he'd been faster that time, he would've found shelter for them quicker. It was only because someone had pushed them out of the way of a Killing Curse (he'd seen it sail above him and to a pile of rubble) that they're still alive. The mere memory of it sends shivers down his spine and think about what could've happened if he stayed in the trajectory of the curse. Sure he had written lots of death and near death scenes, but to really have a near death experience is a different story entirely. But now wasn't the time to think about it. "I'll do it." Vasi gives a reassuring squeeze to Malia's hand (whether it was to reassure him, her or both of them, Vasi wasn't sure but he had noticed that Malia's been a little tense ever since he mentioned a skirmish) before getting his wand. For a split second he was surprised to see his hand shaking a bit but quickly wipes it off so as to not worry his best friend and his boyfriend even more. Warmth envelops Vasi's heart as he observes Theo interacting with the baby and a small but loving smile tugs at the corner of his mouth when he hears the endearment. He does get himself back on track a moment later, pointing the wand at Grace's injuries and murmuring a soft "Episkey".
She stuffs her hands in her pockets shortly thereafter. Now that Theo's here, she doesn't really feel too interested in being here. Between her lack of knowledge on Lena, the nauseating sensation Vasi and Theo are giving her, and the generally depressing mood in the hospital. "I, um," she clears her throat. "I'm going to go get some fresh air," she says, and looks at Vasi. "Do you need anything?"
