You walk into a room from the hallway. You look around, noticing the room is more...colorful than the rest of the castle. You notice the large amount of chairs at the long dining table, wondering why someone would need a dozen chairs for a couple people. You sit down at the large table.
*Arcturus drifts into the dining hall, looking to touch nothing, until he runs a fastidious finger over a chairback, and shakes it free of dust, with a small shudder. He still can't quite work out why on earth, for the first time in over eight years, he has left the comfort of his own, far more palatial, home, to answer what can only be called a summons from this self-professed Shadow, although his rather nebulous proposal was - intriguing.*

The room was dark. It almost seemed like Arcturus was alone until a calm, cold voice spoke. "You must be Arcturus." His voice was chilling to the bone.
"Actually, no. I'm looking to remove the rabble and the riff-raff from wizardkind, starting with the Ministry, and sadly, because most of my fellow Pure-Bloods make an occasional argument against our status, I'm compelled to go through some cloak-and-dagger routine to get there. So, I suppose, yes, in the short-term, you're right. I need to have some *he hesitates, uncharacteristically, in search of an alien concept* allies, if I'm to do this thing - make a silk purse of the sow's ear that is the WHPS and its attacks, I mean. Secret, at least to start with, would seem to be the way to go."
Shadow– Dark Wizard TALK– 21:50, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
Shadow chuckled. "Very well. But my assistance comes with a price."
"So sorry to be a disobliging guest, but that won't be happening. Saw it with my own father and Voldemort - yes, I can say the name - and trust me, you are no Voldemort. If you tell me what you have in mind, and we are both guided by enlightened self-interest along parallel paths, then, perhaps, we can journey together for a time, but I am most assuredly not placing myself and my resources at your disposal. Again, my apologies for being so blunt, but it's a case of "cruel to be kind", I feel."
Shadow– Dark Wizard TALK– 22:04, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
Shadow seemed amused. "You're right. I'm no Voldemort. Voldemort was a fool, with an obsession for immortality and wasting resources on Hogwarts students. I seek much more. If I wanted to, I could kill you right now and claim your resources for myself. But as merciful as I am, I am offering you a chance at your dream. I am willing to make a compromise."
"I'm impressed by a man with the "self-worth" to make a claim that won't be put to the test, but I equally agree with what you say about the thing Tom Riddle became. What is this compromise you speak of?"

"I will allow you to have limited leadership within the society. But I will lead."
"Since you strike me as one incapable of even the pretence of respect for others, I can't imagine you leading anything. The head position, is another matter. Perhaps we should separate the organisational and logistical elements, and each take one, as co-heads."
Shadow– Dark Wizard TALK– 22:21, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
As much as Shadow didn't want to co-lead with this chump, he nodded. "Fine. We'll co-lead."
"Since to have found me and found out about me, you clearly have a superlative intelligence network, may I respectfully suggest you take logistics, and whatever one-man missions you were planning anyway, and I work on the recruitment and group deployment, in other words organisational, side?"
Shadow– Dark Wizard TALK– 22:30, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
"We will not be the society up. Not yet at least. First we must establish our society. And I must know I can trust a clown like you."
*Arcturus would point his wand at the mask and say in gelid, staccato tones "Your tacit contempt I will accept, as any in our position must feel it for all others, but you *wand moves forward 1/4" with each word* will - not - speak - to - me - like - that - again. Are we entirely clear? Or is something still shrouded therein?"
Shadow– Dark Wizard TALK– 22:38, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
"It's an attitude like that that makes you an awful leader." Shadow chuckled. "Very well. I take back the comment of the clowning around."
*Arcturus deflates visibly, reassessing one who can see their own advantage and pursue it even at the price of pride, and reluctantly sheathes his wand once more. "Very well. We shall not speak of it again. It was one of those faux pas that occur on first meeting, and we have great strides before us. As I said, your information and preparation are most impressive, and with my contacts and resources, I believe we can do much to restore the true status quo."
Shadow– Dark Wizard TALK– 23:11, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
"Very good." Shadow pulled out a dark coin. "You will take this."
