Arthouse

The Arthouse, property of Rex Shaw is nothing more than a studio where he does the majority of his painting. Having taught himself to paint magically the space, and magical limitations are highly necessary. Before his involvement with the tattoo shop known as The Human Canvas, the location doubled as an underground tattoo parlour. Rex accepted both magical and muggle customers. These days he no longer offers tattoo work. He does do commissioned art, and art enthusiasts can be seen entering and exiting the premises.

When Rex disappeared on his family, Hope acquired the space simply by means of being married to him. She kept it for many years and she and Ferlen gifted the space to Regan when she was old enough. Regan has worked the space into part studio apartment, part art studio. She's added her own things and expanded her own works of art, but kept a few pieces from her birth father that she appreciated.

"I did much the same as you Regan, drifting for a time unable to break out of my own mind and move past the experience. I made some poor choices and got into trouble and their leader rescued me. I've spent the years since repaying her in kind." He would pause. "I'm not going to lie or try to sugar coat it Regan, you have to go in with your eyes wide open and this has to be your choice. The Black Parade is made up of Thieves, Assassins, and Spies and you would be training to become one of them. That being said they also a group of people who can understand what you've gone through and help you move past it."

But those were over, sans one final trip once they went through with their plans, but that might still be some ways off. Charlotte still wasn't sure whether it was the best idea. And it was this indecision that led her to Regan's place, balancing Caspian on her hip as she waited for a response. She hoped Regan would have words of advice for her, or at least serve as a good distraction.

Before Charlotte can even react, Caspian shrieks excitedly, something that she found to be completely out of character for her typically tranquil son. Giggling, even, and repeatedly exclaiming, "Reeeegan!" Charlotte winces a little at her son's excitement, but can't help the smile that forms on her face. "Just when I thought Merlin had taken mercy on me with a quiet kid," she jokes, chuckling. Nevertheless, she steps in, careful not to put him down in fears he'd throw himself onto Regan and get himself all dirty so quickly. "Sorry for dropping by unannounced. I hope I'm not interrupting anything?"

Charlotte does as told without hesitation or delay. There's a small pause as she strings together all her thoughts and how she wants to explain everything. "I've been dating this girl, Scarlett, for a year and a half now, but I've been seeing her since Theodore and I began the process of divorcing. She's... amazing. I hadn't ever really considered dating women before, but with Scarlett it all just feels... so right. The only problem is that she's a half-breed and lives at the Precinct. It's been difficult on us, these past few months, for obvious reasons, but then we took a trip to Maui and we ended up discussing... well, our future," she explains, "She proposed we eloped. And to be honest, I like the idea of it, but... being a royal means not having the privilege of privacy when it comes to weddings and whatnot. "Why wouldn't you be able to keep the elopement a secret, too? Is it really just a sense of... tradition? Or is there some other piece I'm missing?"

When you're dating, it's all so... unofficial, I suppose. Not guaranteed. Like anything could happen at any moment. But when you're married - it's different.
