"I lied because it was so much simpler that way! And don't be sitting on your high horse playing the victim card- Why would I want to disappoint my children by telling them their father couldn't be there for them because he was too cowardly to face the fact they might not be all you dreamed to be? That they might not live up to your magical expectations!?" Her voice was shaky, but firm.
"I took the chance from you?" She asks, in rage and disbelief. "It wasn't a chance, it was a choice. You could have visited them. And the court decided who was a fit parent- there was a reason I got custody." She retorted.
"I lied to save everyone from hurt. I lied so the kids- our kids- wouldn't be so disappointed in whoever their father was. I lied to save you from the shame. I lied to keep everyone happy." She replied defensively. "And it sure as anything was better than the painful truth."
"Oh, go ahead and take your father's side; a man you two haven't ever met." She sighed. "I would have let you seen them if you made that clear at the negotiations." She replied, turning back to Travis. "But you didn't. And I lied because how was I to know they'd have powers- unlike me? I didn't want to get their hopes up only to get crushed." Then added. "And who are you to decide whether I care about my children? You don't know me. Not anymore. You don't get that right to judge me- To choose what I did and didn't do for what reasons. I lied for them. To let the kids have a happy childhood!"

She slunk down the stairs, sitting on the landing to take account of the fight.
"And our childhood was dandy until we figured out you were lying to us our whole lives!" Adria had finally resorted to yelling. She took a deep breath to calm herself down. "You didn't think we'd figure it out sooner or later? When we became seers and Metamorphmagi, what if Apple became something too, would you deny us the truth then? You said you lied for us. I think you mean lying to us." She rolled her eyes at her mother and ran upstairs, stopping to glare at her older sister, and then continuing to her room.
"I wasn't sure how to tell you- so I pretended everything was like it always was! I wanted to make sure you felt you would still feel loved if you were Magic or not!" She called up to her, obviously irritated at her sudden outburst and disappearance.

She returns Adie's glare as if to say What are you mad at me for? I'm not picking sides.
"Fine, let me start from the beginning. Most of which you already know." She told him, trying her best not to shout. "You left me- all of us. Then you decided to file a devorice, which ended in me getting the kids. I moved out, thinking that you never wanted to contact us. They grew up- I got remarried, and I raised them as muggles, because I wasn't sure of their magical powers yet- if they would have any. Yes, I wasn't truthful, and that was a mistake. But I didn't want them to be disappointed in any lack of magic, or a fitting father. So I carried it on. Then they start showing magic and I panicked. So I pretended they're muggle-borns, and it hurt no one. Now you show up out of nowhere." She explained. "I lied to make sure they would feel loved- magic or not. I lied so they could have a simple childhood- a happy one. I lied so they wouldn't feel disappointed in you, the man who was supposed to help raise them. I lied to keep everyone happy." She repeats.
"I didn't know you wanted to see them. By the looks of the way you left me, I thought you were out of our lives forever." She replied. "But trust me- she was happy, all of us were. And that's why I lied- because once she learned about you everything came apart."

She sighed, pulling her knees to her chest. Not sure how to respond.
Adria stepped down and hit her sister on the head "Our Real dad is travis. Becuase we have his blood in our veins. Stop being so narrow minded." She said, rolling her eyes. "Hi Apple." She said, giving a brief and forced smile to Apollo.
Apollo frowned, automatically able to tell something was upsetting Adie.

"Oh look at Miss Mopey, she finnally decided to stop having her tantrum just because I didn't side with her." She replied bitterly to her sister. "He might be our real dad, but he hasn't acted like it for the past 12 years."
"But not about the same thing. What difference does it make if I'm Squib or Muggle? they both can't do magic." She answered. Then directing this at Travis she added. "But I thought you loved me for me. Not by whether I could stir a pot with the wave of a wand."

"You left her because she was a squib?" She asked quietly.
