"Well Quidditch fans, welcome to the Finals of the 2030 Quidditch games! I hope you all have your raincoats because it's pouring down rain! The players will sure have difficulty seeing and passing in this, not to mention how hard it will be to see an oncoming bludger or the snitch. Hopefully the teams have prepared for this.

Norway quickly grabs the quaffle securing their possession and Chakarova quickly flies down the field, slipping the Japanese chasers and scores! Looks like Inoue didn't even see the quaffle coming through the rain. Japan possesses the quaffle now, and Hayashi quickly moves up the field and shoots. No, wait it was a fake! He passes to Korusawa, who slips it in the left ring past Kolstad. Score's tied up at 10 apiece, and Norway has the quaffle once again.

OOC:With the heavy rain, be sure to account for it in your posts! Also, just for everyone's reference, including my own, apparently Raske won't be playing this match, so Norway will be flying only 2 chasers.

As Norwegians, they were quite used to the wind, the rain, and everything in between. Pyrrha did, however, resent the fact that her hair is sticking to her face. There's no obvious Japanese opposition yet but she keeps an eye out for streaking blurs of opposition players. She loves the Japanese, she really does, but she's here to win. She readies her bat, making sure her grip on it is good, preparing to defend Beth against Japanese bludgers and chasers alike.

"Larsen grabs the quaffle, barely managing to hold onto it...boy is that quaffle slick. She flies for the hoops with Korusawa flanking her, but a bludger to the back of his broom from Jakobsen spins him around giving Larsen a clean shot...she scores! Japan back in possession and Hayashi quickly flies up the field and shoots...but it's blocked by Kolstad! Norway back in possession...but it slips from Chakarova's hands and begins to fall...who will recover it...and is that the snitch over by Japan's hoops?"

"The beater's are really heating up now! Chakarova manages to recover the quaffle and barely dodges a buldger sent by Mikazuki. Korusawa attempts to steal, but he's a fraction of a second late as Chakarova shoots...but Hayashi manages to snatch it out of the air! Japan in possession. I...can't believe it...do you see that folks? Mikazuki just hit one bludger INTO the other! I doubt she meant to hit her own seeker though...Sasaki's broom got hit spinning him around. Wait...did the SECOND bludger hit Vilhjalmmson?! Two seekers with a single move...that's one for the history books. ...and it looks like between the rain and chaos caused by Mikazuki the snitch has vanished again."

"Well folks, you're sure getting your money's worth today as the game's been going on for almost six hours now! Japan's chasers have really been taking it to Norway and have managed to gain themselves a nice lead. Norway really needs to step up their defense if they want to keep Japan from getting so far ahead they can't win. This rain and the winds are really starting to batter the players, and they all seem a bit sluggish. We'll see which team has truly trained harder and can show it now! Norway is back in possession of the quaffle after a short time out called by the Norwegian squad...and here we go!"

Larsen takes the quaffle and rushes for the goals. Mikazuki launches a bludger towards her and connects wit her arm, making her drop the quaffle, ubt luckily her teammate Chakarova recovers the quaffle and shoots, scoring for Norway. As we've all seen by now the Norwegians seem to have an edge up in this rain...makes you wonder if the Japanese team has practiced in these conditions. The Japanese keeper seems to be letting more goals through than a leaky umbrella would water in this game. Korusawa has the quaffle and attempts to dodge a bludger hit by Rasmussen, but he drops the quaffle! Must be the cold out there on the field affecting the players. Larsen recovers and scores another easy goal, despite her arm. Mai recovers it and begins...wait Chakarova steals it and scores ANOTHER quick goal. Apparently the Norwegians still have some fight in them, and it looks like the Japanese team is falling apart right in front of our eyes. So, after the three quick score, Japan is back in possession of the quaffle and...wait there's the snitch for the fourth time this match buzzing around Inoue's head! Hopefully this time one of the seekers will manage to catch it through this rain and end the game.

Seekers, please remember to try to account for the rain in your posts, since when I GM quidditch good Roleplaying Posts get a small bonus to help catch the snitch, giving you a slightly better chance.

She is not about to let the other team get their seeker. She's no push over. Swiftly moving through the rain, she attempts to wap the redirect in Vilhalmmson's direction, both trying to protect Rin, and trying to get the other seeker. Before the game she had cast a sticking charm onto her bat handle due to the weather, and the need for a better grip. Hopefully it would come to her aid (after all, she hadnt been able to reaccomodate her hand for most of the game.) Even if she isn't quick enough to redirect the buldger, she hopes being in the direct path of it will get her instead of him.

Sure Axel could deal with any redirect, she sped against the hail of rain; it was starting to hurt now, and went for the bludger Chikane had tried to send out of play, hoping to send that back at Rin. Surely they wouldn't be able to handle a dopplebeater and a bludger from the other side, right? She did her best to account for wind interference.

"Well, this is the most activity we've seen for a while, and there's bludgers bouncing all over making it hard for both seekers...and it looks like both seekers are taking the slow cautious approach due to the rain. Korusawa has the quaffle for the Japanese team, but is quickly double teamed by Chakarova and Larsen, who manage to steal the quaffle. Larsen gets hit in the back by a stray bludger...looks like her beaters were more focused on protecting their seeker...but she manages to get it to Chakarova who quickly scores again for Norway. Japan gets the quaffle back, but with Hayashi apparently more interested in trying to help their seeker, Norway quickly regains possession.

Meanwhile, the race for the snitch is heating up! The Japanese team are keeping close to their seeker and have three defenders, including one of their chasers. It's an interesting tactic since the chaser can only use their body to defend...and while they're keeping their seeker safe, they're also crowding him and slowing him down some. Vilhjalmmson clearly has a bit of a lead due to both the Japanese team's tactics and her own teams excellent beaters that are clearly on the offensive and keeping the Japanese beaters barely managing to defend against their onslaught. Vilhjalmmson is closing in on the snitch with Sasaki and his...defensive entourage slightly behind. Which tactic will end up taking the game, and the WORLD CUP?!"

She was beginning to get especially tired of the rain, and just wanted this game over. She didn't really send it away with any particular target in mind, that was nearly impossible with the rain at this point, just to somewhere with a low density of players, hoping to lure one of the Japanese beaters away from their position by Rin.

"Chakarova outflys Hayashi and Korusawa, shoots and manages to get it just through Inoue's hands and into the goal! Score for Norway, and Japan now has the quaffle.

Meanwhile, a huge beater brawl is going on around the seekers as they try to get the snitch. The Norwegian beaters hit the bluders at Sasaki, but the Japanese beaters defend and send them back at Vilhjalmmson. The Norwegian beaters defend again from the bludger onslaught, again redeflecting them back at Sasaki. Both seekers are completely focused on the snitch and not even noticing the bludgers fling around them. Bludgers are again headed for Vilhjalmmson...and hit back towards Sasaki. Rasmussen finally deflects one of the bludgers away from Sasaki and off towards the Japanese chasers, leaving the beaters only one bludger to play with. Jakobsen deflects the bludger...and it GETS PAST THE JAPANESE BEATERS! I don't know if it was the rain or the timing, but they miss and it hits Sasaki on the wrist...oh...that looks broken. Vilhjalmmson gains a slight lead from that bludger and she HAS THE SNITCH! NORWAY WINS! THE NORWEGIAN TEAM IS THE 2030 QUIDDITCH WORLD CHAMPIONS!"

Daria practically screams, goal forgotten, as she turns for Elsie. When the space between them is minimum, she throws her arms around the seeker, because holy shit! "We f*cking won! We won the World Cup!"

His grin becomes huge as he flies straight for Daria and Elsie and pulls them into a massive hug. "We did it!" he says with a huge grin. "We're World Champions!"

She flings herself into the giant, soaking, Norwegian group hug, grinning and laughing, euphoric. "Herregud!" she yells excitedly, "vi er faktisk vinnere!" It had been a dream but had she thought it could really come true?"

Elsie had been close to kissing Daria, but...then Axel got there...then Pyrrha. What tw*t swatters. "Oh my Merlin!" she said, having like a mini panic attack of excitement as she tried to hug them both. Sure, she struggled but she got it eventually. "We won the motherf*cking Quidditch World Cup! I'm going die of excitement..."

A proud wide grin on her face, Beth would join in the group hug. Then, Beth would pull out, grab Pyrrha and give her a kiss that she would never regret.

She'd come out of the hug with her girlfriend, wrapping her arms around her girlfriend, both of them trusting each other to not let them fall. Her hand found a home in Beth's hair as she pulled her in, grinning like an idiot through it all.

Axel was possibly the biggest fifth wheel that had ever existed. But he didn't care. He flew towards the stand and landed right next to his sister and pulled her into a muddy hug. "I hope the win made standing around for six or seven hours worth it," he says with a huge grin
