Her expectations are running low for this match, mostly because Hufflepuffs are softies and Slytherins are hardcore; they're going to get butchered. Everyone knows it. Waiting for the game to start, she sits by, reading a book on Herbology.

Oh she wanted the Slytherins to lose so, so badly. She hated them. Probably because of that long-standing rivalry between their houses? Or maybe because they were just all jackasses. She's standing, though she's got a whole row (probably the best, too) reserved for her and her mates; they're not going to want to miss this.

Whitney took a seat next to Margot, despite the fact that Margot is standing. She's relatively unbothered, but she knows that Margot really wants Slytherin to lose, so she's brought a spare scarf for her. She hands it to Margot and says, "I had a feeling you might want this."

Okay, so he was a little disappointed when they lost to Gryffindor, but he's decided to put it out of his mind for the time being. All that matters now is winning against Slytherin - it's only the second game, after all. There's plenty of time to catch up. He waves at the room at large as he enters, broom in hand, and sits beside Norchelle.

"Welcome back Quidditch fans to the second round of games this year. I hope your bundled up warmly because it's frigid out here and snowing! The players will all have reduced visibility and really have to rely on teamwork to win this game. Hopefully both Hufflepuff and Slytherin are up to the challenge! The teams have come out onto the pitch and are ready to begin the game. The snitch is released first followed by the bludgers. The quaffle has been tossed into the air...he we go!"

OOC: First chaser to post can grab the quaffle. As a reminder I reward good RPing so consider the snowy environment and post accordingly!

Five seconds into the game and he's already squinting to see through the snow, but he's managed to get hold of the quaffle (thank Merlin). Hoping the weather will hinder the opposing keeper, he shoots off in the direction of the Slytherin hoops, quaffle held tightly against his chest. There are going to be plenty of opportunities to drop it this game and he's not about to lose again - not when he played in worse conditions at Durmstrang. How embarrassing would that be?

The good thing about this kind of weather: no one can quite tell where your bludger's headed. She gives the nearest bludger to her a good whack, trying to send it towards the Slytherin Keeper... or at least their general direction.

The one time she had a good feeling, it has to be snowing. This will make things difficult. Since she's not aware of who grabbed the quaffle, she finds the nearest bludger to her, and tries to whack it to send it in a straight line. It has to hit something, right?

A couple of years ago, Chun Li would've killed Ryder for making her play Quidditch with him in this weather, but now she was quite thankful, as it had forced her to train herself to be able to track things in the fog and snow. She kept her eye on the chaser with the quaffle, looking away ever so often to make sure a bludger wouldn't be heading towards her anytime soon, and luckily she saw one heading in her general direction and quickly placed spaced between her and the bludger's line of aim while still remaining close to the hoops to stop the Hufflepuff chaser in possession.

Keep rolling your eyes. Maybe you'll find a brain back there.

Teagan hopes that her toe-curling scream is enough to warn anyone potentially on her way that she's hurtling in their direction at maximum speed. The snow is making for really bad visibility. Releasing what is undoubtedly a guttural shout, she slams her bat against the bludger she's thankfully spotted, sending it in the direction of the first chaser clad in blue robes. "Incoming bludger!" She knows it might not do her team any good to announce it, but the last thing she wants is accidentally hurting Kell or anyone else she's playing with.

He would be flying around trying to see if he could find the little golden ball. Normally the seekers stayed up above and looked from there but with the falling snow he didn't think he'd be able to see anything from that high much less something small. He wasn't sure how to find it and hoped he might just...run into it?

Game Master
Send Me an Owl! - 12:42, June 8, 2018 (UTC)
"This game has already gotten crazy. Larsen grabs the quaffle and shoots towards the Slytherin goals with Greenwood close beside. They're sticking close which is good so they can see one another! Gabriel attempts to sneak up on them and steal but Larsen passes to Greenwood and they keep going. Deb launches a bludger through the snow at the Slytherin Keeper who notices it coming and quickly gets out of the way ready for the Hufflepuff chasers. Adair and Blake both hit bludgers into the snow and somehow the two bludgers whack straight into one another! What are the chances of that?! Greenwood moves up and shoots putting the first goal of the game past Akoto. Hufflepuff score! Slytherin now in possession of the quaffle.

OOC: Slytherin chasers can grab the quaffle. TheRebelOfSlytherin careful about metagaming. Your keeper noticing the bludger through the snow and reacting is boaderline since visibility is nil. Saying you were keeping an eye out for bludgers would have been good enough. It's my job as GM to resolve the actions you guys take. Players should be attempting actions and then I write out the story of what happens. :)

Gabriel takes the quaffle for Slytherin and moves up the field. The Hufflepuff chasers try to steal but the snow hides him enough he can move away along with the help of Adair's bludger. He shoots and the Hufflepuff Keeper apparently never saw the shot coming. Score for Slytherin! Larsen recovers the quaffle for Hufflepuff and quickly shoots up the field using the wind and snow as cover. He shoots and scores! Gabriel again picks it up for Slytherin and again with bludger cover from Adair and Blake scores. Score is tied at twenty-twenty. Greenwood picks up the quaffle and it slips! Either team can recover!

Kell grabs the quaffle when Anne drops it - thank Merlin he was flying near her - and shoots off back towards the Slytherin goals. The snow helped him once already in regards to bludgers so he hopes it'll do that again, though he makes a point of zig-zagging towards the goals, just in case. The quaffle he holds as tightly as he can one-handed, because Hufflepuff really cannot afford to lose another match.

If there's one thing Teagan's learned; there's no safe way of playing quidditch. You fly fast and with a singular goal, and you're exposed to bludgers. You fly recklessly, and you'll be too slow. So she's trying to take advantage of it as best as she can, despite the poor visibility. She's stopped screaming, luckily, and, seeing a hint of brown that would only be in a Gryffindor robe or a bludger, speeds after it, hoping to give it a good whack towards Augustus.
