Jung Hyeon-Jae and his future wife Mi Ae-Ra couldn’t come from more different ends of the spectrum even if they tried. Hyeon-Jae came from a family rich with wizarding businesses and he himself was preparing to branch off into the art of wandmaking like his father and grandfather had done before him. Ae-Ra, on the other hand, hailed from Veela parents who could barely support her growing up.
Their love story seemed to be just like a fairytale - Hyeon-Jae met Ae-Ra when she was employed as a maid for his nephew. Looking past her social status, Hyeon-Jae was captivated by her beauty and the motherly attributes she displayed and cited her as the perfect wife. It took him a long time to confess his attraction - in fact it took until Ae-Ra’s term of a year was finished before he made her move, offering her his phone number and the beginnings of a relationship. It took another year before the two were married and upon this they left to expand the business in the west.
Leaving wandmaking as more of a hobby both Hyeon-Jae and Ae-Ra - now Hayden and Alexa - were employed by the British Ministry of Magic. After two years, they welcomed their eldest child, Nicodemus Azriel Kyung-Soo, and settled into a rather large family home in the Buckinghamshire countryside. Following that, their second child - Orrin Bellamy Kyung-Jae - was birthed which rendered Alexa to become a stay at home mother. For three years the family unit was happy until Alexa gave birth to the final child, and only daughter, Piper Cecilia Soo-Jung.
Piper was the baby of the family in every aspect - whatever she wanted, she got. It didn’t help she was the only girl and as such her father spoiled her with the riches he’d accumulated in the years. Of course, Alexa saw this and was constantly on Hayden’s case about treating all the children equally and after four years of spoiling Piper to the ends of the Earth, a messy divorce between the two happened. Alexa, winning custody of the two sons moved back to South Korea with a sizable about of Hayden’s wealth.
Initially, at the young age of four, Piper didn’t really understand why her mum and brothers had left and it was just her and her dad, but as she grew older she learned of the circumstances and began to play on them to get what she wanted. Albeit this was later on when she was nearing her time at Hogwarts, the first incident happened in conjunction with her first magical experience. With Alexa gone, Hayden was able to spend his large earnings from his high-paying job at the ministry on Piper and when she was seven she decided that she wanted to be a princess. Of course, she wasn’t one but when she found one of her mother’s old Tiffany & Co. catalogues lying around she fell in love with a tiara and begged her father to buy it for her. Initially, Hayden said no and was firm in his stance until multiple glass objects in the house started to dislodge themselves and go hurling to walls and smashing into pieces. Half relieved one didn’t him and half scared knowing that his daughter did possess magical abilities, Hayden caved in and bought her the tiara to which she keeps to this day.
From that point on, Hayden bought his daughter whatever she wanted out of fear that he would eventually have a glass vase to the head. This manifesting almost phobia of his daughter continued until she received her letter to Hogwarts to which he paid for everything in advance.
At Hogwarts, Piper was sorted into Slytherin and did her best to retain her ‘Queen Bee’ title. Over the course of the next three years she was often paired up with Bryce Jang in projects and as such she developed a friendship with him. Aside from him, she rarely had any other friends and as such her title was mainly in her head,
As fourth year appeared over the horizon, Piper had deemed that the only good thing about Hogwarts was Bryce Jang and wanted to move to Beauxbatons. Knowing that his daughter was more powerful then she had been when she was seven, her father took no risks and transferred her ready to start her fourth year there. From fourth year until the end of her magical education Piper was in the Ombrelune house and ended up loving the whole atmosphere of Beauxbatons, but couldn’t help but admit that she missed Bryce Jang.
After her education Piper returned to England and, using her father’s wealth, moved into a large flat with expensive furniture and is waiting around for something exciting to happen.
