Welcome to the Diagon Alley Branch of Ollivander's Wand Shop.
Major Wand Cores
Phoenix Tail Feather
Please Note: Veela Hair Cores are not on offer to the general public in this particular wand shop. If a Veela Hair Core is what you seek, please contact an employee. Thank you.
Individual wand lengths vary between seven inches and fifteen inches.
Whilst we naturally strive for optimal customer satisfaction, it has rightly been said, by our owner no less, that "the wand chooses the wizard", and thus, while assiduously sought, customer contentment, sadly, cannot be guaranteed.

An air of wariness hangs about Ellie as she enters the somewhat unfamiliar store; apparently the wand she had in Australia would no longer be fit in England (she had no idea why). The store at first glance seems empty, but a tense feeling in her muscles tells her it was indeed occupied. "Hello?"

Arielle wanders into the store; her mother had told her it sold the best wands in England, and besides, it was a new wand for a new start, right? "Hi?" The young Frenchwoman leans against the vacant desk to see if anyone is in. If they aren't, there are enough other supplies to be bought (like ice cream, clearly key to her education) that she could come back later.

The bell on the door tinkles cheerfully as the first-year-to-be practically bounces into the wand shop, staring around at the shelves with wide eyes. Her usually braided hair is left to fall down her back (mostly because she liked to fiddle with things and undo it), and she looks around corners curiously. "Hallo?"

Despite not wanting to show her face so publicly, she needs a new wand. Her previous one no longer functioned well, something she couldn't afford. "Hello?" Sounding as confident as she looked, the German blonde sought out Ollivander.
He nodded. "Very well... to find a new mate, it helps if I first know something about you. So if you wouldn't mind providing me some details about what makes you, you. Your history... significant events that may have changed you..."

She knows better than to get herself tangled up with the authorities, so she plays it off with a smile, adopting a relaxed posture. "Well... I attended Durmstrang. Mutter left my family when I was just a babe to start fresh. Vater... well, he wasn't a good man. I attended Durmstrang and excelled in Potions - and dueling, for that matter. I found out I had a half-brother in fourth year, but he disappeared without a trace shortly after my graduation," she pauses. She recognizes can't elaborate further than that, so she makes a swift change in the conversation's direction. "I like to duel. I'm adept at making potions, even the hardest ones there are. I can be sneaky and secretive, but I just like to keep my matters private, I suppose," she shrugs.

"Its usefulness, definitely. Depending on the potion, you could heal someone so much as you could make them suffer. You could pass for someone else, you could unlock different parts of your brain you've never used before. The list of its uses is endless."

"Unwavering loyalty, always being there for me, not having a problem with being my support system, never doubting me, etcetera etcetera," she lists off without hesitance; she has thought this out, clearly.
He nodded. "Very well, let us make our first attempt at a match." He turns and carefully pulls a box from the bottom of a pile, leaving the stack intact. He presents the box to her. "Hawthorn, and Unicorn Hair."
He was already at the front, waving good-bye to his previous customer, when the girls came in. He gave them a smile. "How might I help you ladies today?"

Maisie curiously peeked from behind the door then practically jumped into the store. Bubbling with excitement, she had to force herself not to scream. "Hello..?" She asked, tucking her strawberry blonde hair behind her ear.
A wrinkled smile came to his face. "As it has always been... the wand chooses the witch. So... in order to begin a more successful search, please tell me about yourself. Whatever you feel would be pertinent. "

"Well, I have a full line of Pure-blood ancestors and my parents are quite wealthy, with what I've seen. My first sign of magic showed when a few boys started bullying me, and I find myself here, looking for a wand so I can control my magic now.." Harper said softly. "My life is pretty boring, so that's all, really."
He nods and turns, observing his many, many boxes. His fingers flit about stopping here, there... and then. He takes a box carefully from the very bottom of a pile. "Let us try this to begin.... Hornbeam and Hippocampus Scale. Eight inches, precisely."
