As you emerge through the emerald flames of the Floo Network, the simple, surging mass of mankind is astounding. The stone floor clicks under your heels. A stumpy witch wearing a pink hat bumps into you, while a tall, balding wizard hustles past carrying a smoking kennel. You step around the Fountain of Magical Brethren, admiring the craftsmanship. Past security you move toward your destination.
Saffron was coming into work for the day, heading for the Department of Magical Education floor. While thinking about Dorian, she was also trying to avoid bumping into too many people. After all, she just wanted to get into her office instead of pissing a bunch of other workers off but she kept getting distracted in her daydreams thoughts.
With his mind preoccupied by his recent major decision, he wasn't really focused on where he was walking. A few seconds after entering the atrium, he bumped into a woman, dropping what he was carrying. "oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't see where I was going.."
Saffron Carter- Hufflepuff Alumna - Head of Department of Magical Education
A bit disturbed, she stopped her walking and created a small area of people bumping her as they moved around. "It's okay!" she said, not sounding very affected as she leaned down to start picking up what he had dropped. "Seriously, don't worry about it."
Saffron smiled, passing over whatever items she had picked up of his, "Yeah, that would be me. Julius from International Magical Cooperation?" she asked, but she was already confident that she had been correct.
"Truly, it's great to finally meet you properly. I've been meaning to get in conversations with all of the Department Heads, but I've been a little too caught up with work for that," she said as she followed him over to the side.
"Yeah..." she said, rubbing her arm a bit nervously as she looked up at him, "I hope I'm not keeping you behind from doing something." After thinking of such, she was really hoping that wasn't the case.
Saffron shrugged, "I'm not necessarily confident in anybody yet. Obviously, I'm not capable of running so I'm just waiting for the speeches and all that to truly know the candidates. I think it'll go alright though, no matter who ends up becoming Minister."
Saffron nodded, "Truly, we'll probably be fine regardless of who wins," she said, "It's good to hear that you're okay with turning the power to them though. It shows you're not just in it for yourself and that's nice." She smiled, really hoping she wasn't embarrassing herself.
