Katja was headed from their History of Magic class to the Hufflepuff Dormitories. Although it wasn't necessary, she wanted to take the longer ways around and further familiarize herself with the castle. It had been a good month and a half or so, but she still couldn't say she was quite confident in where she was going all of the time. Well, she wasn't really any of the time, but that was simply her self doubt shining through. That's not to say she was lost, because she wasn't or she wouldn't say that herself, at least.

He'd taken a wrong turn somewhere, he wasn't sure when he made a left when he was supposed to go right. He ended up here and he didn't mind it all that much. He didn't have anything too important to be doing right now other than homework and that could wait for as long he was willing to put it off.
Katja kept close to the wall, to keep her smaller form from getting trampled by any passing students. It was ridiculous how many people had physically run into her by now and she had since developed a couple bruises from falling. A small whistle or two fell from her lips as she continued to walk, before she was reminded that she people didn't like listening to that and she stopped.

His attention was snatched by the whistling it drew his eye straight her, the girl from the train. He had a hard time trying to remember her name. It was unusual, at least to him it was. After a minute of searching he'd grin walking toward her. "Hey, Katja. Are you doing alright?"
Katja jumped in shock, although her feet themselves only partially left the ground in fear. After beginning to turn an innocent pink out of embarrassment, she turned back and noticed who it was. Not who she expected, but she was still okay with who it turned out to be, "Hey, Landry. Oh, I'm fine, but thanks for asking," she said, giving him a soft smile.

"Okay? It's just the way you're hugging that wall there doesn't make it seem like you are. But maybe it's a nicer wall than I think it is." He joked.
"I've had a few incidents of people bumping into me. I just figured it's the best way to avoid it, other than perhaps flying a broom through the halls, but you can't do that...nor do I know how to," she said, giving a look of thought before smiling again. "But, I'm still okay. What about you? How've you been doing?"

"If it only happens when you walk by yourself, is it wrong of me to suggest getting yourself a buddy?" He shrug. That whole strength in numbers thing had to work in more than one situation. "Me? I've been good. Not enjoying the tension in some of our classes but as long as I can stay uninvolved I guess it isn't really a problem."
"Do you have anybody specific in mind as to who would make a good walking partner?" she asked, knowing that he probably would just suggest himself and she did seem to be aware of that. "Exactly what I've been thinking! It's a terrible first impression, but at least I've been able to stay out of it."

"Someone in your house, and our year. Then you wouldn't have to wait around to find them." He'd of easily suggested himself but that wasn't practical either he'd have to go out of his way to get to basement or she'd have to do the same to get to the towers. "Who starts the first day off that way? If that's what were supposed to expect for the rest of the year I think I'll be skipping class. A lot."
Katja frowned. "I don't really know anybody like that. I don't know any of my housemates, other than that Prefect girl, but she's a year older." Quickly, she lightened up again, but shook her head in obvious disagreement with the actions of their yearmates and professors. "If it is, then I'll have to ask you to please let me skip with you, because I don't think I can have nine months of this."

"There has to be someone you could sort of tag along with. That's probably asking a lot of someone you don't know all that well. I'd have volunteered but I'm not in Hufflepuff." He'd shrug. "You can skip with me. Skip class I mean. Anytime you want. It'll be hard to tell when things'll go south before class actually starts but if you're up for it maybe we can take our chances?"
"I figured you didn't mean like skip about. We would probably look foolish that way," she said, although she didn't really care if she did. "I'm always down, just let me know somehow beforehand." A small smirk formed on the usually perfectly innocent face, but there was still a delicate touch to it that kept her genuine.
