While she's as pale as Lena and has the same wavy brown hair, she got Malia's athletic build and shorter height. Like both of them, though, she values her appearance a lot. Her closet is all over the place, but she always manages to string together outfits she's remarkably proud of. Jean jackets, blouses, dresses, bomber jackets - again, very over the place, but she always adds a unique twist to it. She tends to lean more towards natural looks, too, and very rarely will she outdo herself with makeup or anything like that. Her faceclaim is Kaitlyn Dever. history traits ------------------------------ :Unlike her mothers, Iliana led a fairly idyllic life. She was a child desperately wanted by her then young adult mothers, and the product of scientific advancements. Her mothers had met when they were young, just eleven years old, on their way to board the Hogwarts Express for the first time. It was at King's Cross, she's been told, and from the moment they laid eyes on each other, they knew that was it. Or at least that's how Iliana likes to see it; in truth, her mothers didn't get together until they were in winter break of their third year, and even after beginning to date, they faced their issues. The death of Malia's siblings, Lena's suicide attempt, a prolonged break from their relationship, etc. Suffice to say, there was once a period they doubted they were truly each other's happily ever after, but in the face of all these adversities, they persevered as a couple. It was in the summer prior to their seventh year that Malia & Lena got engaged. They had gone on a summer-long road trip across Europe, with apparations here and there to cross tougher borders. At the very end, on the eve of their return, they were sat on the hood of their rented car, watching the stars, when Malia popped the question. She was a stammering, blushing mess, and by no means did she consider it as romantic as she'd have hoped, but Lena had loved it and accepted, which as far as Malia was aware, was all that mattered. They didn't tell anyone (inc. their best friends Owen & Lili) throughout the course of their seventh year, revealing they'd been engaged for nearly a year now once they had all graduated. Their wedding ceremony didn't take place until a year after graduating, on a cool August evening. Iliana is the first of five girls, and was conceived with the aid of science & technology just a year after her mothers' wedding. She enjoyed the benefits of a quiet life, and lived from the moment of her birth until her eleventh birthday at their family home in Coral Gates. Iliana was two when her younger sisters came along: Zoë Yevgeniya, in honor of Lena's deceased sister, Zenia Vasilia, in honor of Malia's childhood husband Vasilius Jo, and Zilya Polina. They were triplets, and as you would imagine, Iliana's life took a bit of an annoying turn upon their arrival home. They had been wholly unprepared for triplets, but with help and a little bit of magic, they made things work. They had their joint fortune due to their days playing professional Quidditch - with Malia playing for the national team after years of playing for the Catapults, and Lena's salary after years of employment in the Auror Force - but Iliana still suffered. Her issue wasn't the sudden lack of constant gifts, or no longer being an only child, but rather the drop in attention she received following the triplets' birth. That, and the constant, neverending crying. Wherever she went, oftentimes her sisters caused her mood to drop with their incessant wailing. Of course, there wasn't much her mothers could do about it except sound-proof her walls and charm the triplets'. Despite their best efforts, Iliana still found herself constantly sulking, missing the way things had once been. From here stems her love for the outdoors. Having wanted a quiet place that could be just hers, Iliana had resorted to spending more and more time outside - playing, tending to the gardens, and avoiding her the disaster triplets. Her taste for the outdoors developed, and her magic's manifestation at the ripe age of six only encouraged it. Unsurprisingly, it had involved quidditch, when she made her pointedly non-magic broom fly off to the hoops at the community quidditch arena. Her mothers had been playing with neighbors, and she had been grumpy she couldn't join them. From that moment on, even though she had begun to tolerate the girls, she was rarely indoors. Learning how to fly and playing in the gardens consumed most her time, whenever she wasn't in school. This was reinforced when Lena went MIA, when one of her missions went off the rails and her partner was unable to cover for her. She was briefly declared dead, which is why it was a shock when she returned, very much so alive and looking to get back into her family's lives. It was a difficult adjustment for her, seeing as she had grown accustomed to the lack of a second mother and instead used to the constant presence of Penelope Bostwick in their lives. She was Malia's childhood friend who was very much so in love with her and who had slowly begun to see her feelings reciprocated as Malia began to move on from the loss of her wife. Well, Lena's return threw the family's dynamic off completely. It took months - years, in some cases - to rebuild the relationships she had lost with her daughters, but bit by bit, things seemed to improve for them. Up until then, Iliana had been a proud Gryffindor, but when things changed, she found herself persuading her mother to allow her to study abroad for a full term. She needed space and to regain her bearings, which Malia allowed in spite of her and Lena's initial reluctance. Henceforth, Iliana was a student at Koldovstoretz, where Quidditch wasn't really a 'thing'. It forced her to find new passions, which resulted in a very sharp interest in reporting. Writing articles, editing them, looking for sources, it was all things that interested her. In that year, Iliana learned more about herself than she ever could have hoped. She learned more about her roots in Russia and developed a keen appreciation for her culture and newfound hobbies. By the time she returned to Hogwarts, in time for her fourth year, Iliana had definitely grown and changed a lot. She honed her interests and grew not just socially, but academically as well. Now, she's in her __th year and is preparing to take the world by storm. ounded by all her old friends. Now Iliana is starting her seventh year and is intent on getting Head Girl. ----------------------------- Iliana is as extroverted as both her mothers once were. She'll make small talk with anyone, regardless of how she feels about them. Putting herself out there and networking are just things she's naturally good at and enjoys. It doesn't mesn she trusts everyone as soon as she meets them and welcomes them with open arms, but she definitely likes meeting people. She means well most the time and is very happy to help whoever needs it. She's been known to be very charitable, to the point her allowance has been reduced. In spite it all, Iliana is also very short-tempered. She can and will fight you (even with her short height) and doesn't usually have a lot of patience. She's a nice person, but waiting around on others isn't something she's keen on doing. Furthermore, she's very blunt. She can and will say what's on her mind with little to no remorse, regardless of whether it stings or not.
