The idea had been floating inside of Harrison's head for a while now. Sometimes it dominated his thoughts and sometimes it was small and nagging, begging to be focused on. He always knew getting into a committed, deep relationship with a dhampir would lead to some sort of eventual questions and predicaments they'd have to face. As he grew old and would eventually die, Micah would continue to live for another four hundred or so years. Always a little more morbid, that thought was on Harrison's mind more than he'd like to admit. After meeting a vampire who was willing to carry out some... things, an idea had popped into Harrison's head. It was later at night and Harrison sat at the couch watching some k-drama on the muggle Netflix as he waited for Micah to come home from work. Clad in an oversized hoodie and some sweat pants, he looked particularly smaller and cuter than normal.

While Micah generally chose to look at the bright side of every situation, even he couldn't deny that the worries Harrison had of the future was something he had thought of from time to time as well. It was something he and Harrison always skated around whenever the topic leaned towards it, as Micah never wanted to formally address it and give it room to grow more in his mind. Coming home from a photoshoot, Micah was tired and just wanted to cuddle with Harrison on the couch. Lucky for him, when he walked into the apartment it appeared as though that's what he would be getting as Harrison was sat there watching something on Netflix. If Harrison were to look over, he'd see Micah with some Euphoria-esque makeup on and a tired look adorning his face.

As soon as Micah came into the room, Harrison looked up and smiled at his lover. "You look tired," He commented, lips pursed slightly before shuffling up on the couch, motioning for Micah to come over. "Like, could fall asleep on me if I'm not careful, tired."

"I am tired." He responded blankly before hanging his coat on the coat rack and taking off his shoes. Making his way over to the couch and sitting down beside Harrison, leaning his head on the older's shoulder after kissing his cheek softly. "Is that an offer I can take you up on at some point?"

There was always a certain sense of love that Harrison saw Micah through, as if he was still newly in love with Micah even some eight years on from them beginning to date. Maybe, if Harrison was cliché and cheesy, the best description would be that he fell in love with Micah over and over. With a kiss to his cheek and a head on his shoulder, the half-nymph wrapped an arm around the dhampir and squeezed him lightly. "Only if you don't become a dead weight, I'd like to be able to feel my legs tomorrow," He teased with an airy laugh. "But if you really wanted to, I can't say no..."

Having not slept overly well the night before and being tired all day on set, unable to take a quick nap or even rest his eyes, Micah found comfort with his head on Harrison's shoulder and being pulled in to the older's side. "I'll be fine with just my head on your shoulder," he mumbled as his eyes flickered open to try and keep himself awake by watching the television. "What have you been up to all day?"

Though Harrison couldn't see Micah, he could tell from the other's voice and the placidness of him on his shoulder that the dhampir was incredibly tired. "Yeah," He hummed, "I've just been thinking some things that've kept me up, y'know?" He hadn't let Micah onto know about these thoughts that had plagued him the past week, though he was sure the dhampir must've had some idea on what they were.

While Micah had a small inkling as to what Harrison was hinting towards, he didn't want to assume and be completely wrong. "What things?" He decided to ask, lifting his head off Harrison's shoulder in order to be able to look at the other.

With his head being lifted from his shoulder, Harrison turned slightly to look at Micah. "Well... I was thinking about how there'll be a time where I'll, um, y'know.... die and you won't - not for a while." He went silent for a few seconds. For however talkative Harrison seemed to become when he was with Micah, this particular topic always brought him to being quiet. "But I have an idea on how we could avoid that? I think..."

As cheerful as Micah was, it was hard for him to stay happy at the thought of there being a time in his life where he has to say goodbye to Harrison. They'd gone through so much that Micah didn't want to ever face that sort of a reality. Falling silent as he looked down into his lap, Micah fiddled with his hands a bit out of discomfort. "Oh? What was thee idea?..."

Harrison felt a twinge of guilt rise up within him as Micah looked down and his mood bubbled away. Of course he knew this would happen given the very topic of what they were discussing but that didn't make hearing Micah get sad and fiddle with his hands any easier. "Well..." He stopped to take a breath, realising in that moment just how big of a change he was proposing, "What if we seek out a vampire to, y'know, make us immortal? So we can be together forever? I know someone who can get us charmed wedding rings that makes sunlight not effect vampires so I just thought..."

Truthfully, Micah was preparing to just block anything Harrison was saying so he didn't have to hear it. He hated these types of conversations and was willing to ignore it for as long as he could. But, having not fully locked himself away from the conversation and hearing exactly what Harrison was suggesting made Micah want to stay present in the situation. "You'd really want to do that?..." Micah sounded hopeful, a first when it came to topics like this.

Harrison noticed the hopeful tone in Micah's voice, realising for the first time just how much it meant to his fiance. He had figured it'd mean a momentous amount but the exact weight of his words had perhaps been lost on him when he thought about it. He nodded slightly. "I think so..." He said, a creeping apprehension evident within his voice before he smiled and nodded, "I mean, putting up with your clumsy ass for eternity would be hard but I'm sure I'd manage."

This was a big deal, Micah would need a lot more assurance than an I think. Perhaps his expression would give away his concerns that Harrison wasn't fully invested but he tried his best to hide it. "You need to be sure though, it can't just be an I think..."

Harrison noticed Micah's expression, realising that I think was less than the best reassurance. He smiled again, leaning in and kissing Micah quickly. "I'm sure. There's nobody else I'd rather spend eternity with, y'know?"
