Harkness Legal Practice

Situated in Lincliff City, Harkness Legal Practice is open for business. At Harkness, clients are able to get legal advice on personal affairs, representation in court and consultation with professional lawyers. The firm's motto is Fiat justitia, et pereat mundus, meaning 'Let justice be done, though the world perish'. As you enter, the smell of old leather, mahogany and parchment hits you. You look through the handsome furnished legal bookcases and take a seat, as you wait to be called up by one of the employees.

Naturally, he had gotten one for Aretha as well. So, he set down the coffee and made a hand gesture to Cerberus to inform Aretha he was in -- A simple bark. He moved his hand once more, another gesture for Cerberus to go grab her so she can get her coffee. Lazaros watched her trot off towards Aretha's office.

He looks over the file again, specifically looking for information about the daughter. A half-vampire librarian? His mind formed a joke, and Lazaros smirked a little, but didn't say, or rather sign, anything.

She says, upon seeing Val's blank face she explains further, "Your mother had not fed and was unable to control her actions, therefore there was a lack of voluntariness in what happened when the girl approached her. This leads to a lack of culpability, because she cannot be the culprit due to the fact that she was not the one executing those actions. Thus, in her original sentencing, Ms Knight was a victim of entrapment by the DMLE and she was forced into Azkaban for a crime she had no control over committing." She explains, looking pleased with herself.
