Leyla boarded the train and found an empty compartment for all her cousins. She came prepared with snacks and sweets, along with some headphones for when she wanted to take a nap. Knowing Leyla, that moment would come sooner rather than later.

Taeler hopped on the train and found a cart with some older kid who was passed out. Taking the seat across from him, Tae pulled out an outdoor magazine and began reading through it. It was in his plans to get a camping trip together for this year. If the headmaster approved it, of course. Meanwhile, Vel found a spot on Tae's lap where she was perfectly content.
Carolina already had her headphones on when walking on the train. Sliding into a compartment consisting of another student, she immediately started to flip through a magazine. She didn't need to look out the window to know her aunt was still out there... Would be until the express left.
Twyla was that one asshole student that wanted to hype the first day back, despite no longer being a first year. Parading down the aisle of the train, Twyla set off an array of exploding confetti bombs and streamers that painted the hall with Gryffindor colors. Snickering, the girl discreetly slipped into an empty compartment to avoid prosecution.

Jun boarded the train, not really knowing what to expect from this year. He hoped good things, but he knew more than anybody that life was unpredictable. He was lucky enough to find a compartment to himself, which he was perfectly content with. In fact, now would be a good time to take pictures. Jun took a seat and pulled out his camera. His eyes surveyed the blurry scenery as it passed by through the window. Yeah, this would be perfect for some concept photos.
Okay, so maybe Seung Heon was a little late arriving at the platform. As in, he had two minutes tops to board the train before it set off, so he doesn't exactly look his best as he drags his trunk down the aisle, searching for an empty compartment. Finally giving up in his search, he just yanks the door open to the nearest one and, with a distracted wassup to the boy inside he shoves his trunk onto one of the shelves above. Seung Heon then collapses into the seat opposite the other boy, carding his hands through his hair to try to salvage whatever styling he'd attempted that morning and doing his best to catch his breath before he speaks.

Jun's eyes widen slightly at the abrupt entrance of the other boy, his hands still clutching his camera. By the looks of it, the kid ran late this morning. Jun was just happy he didn't miss the train. That happened Jun's second year - it was not fun. Offering a small "hey" to the other's so eloquent "wassup," Jun flashed him a small, friendly smile.
As soon as he's caught his breath (which takes him longer than he'll ever admit to anyone. ever.), Seung Heon's full attention is on the other boy. A few more seconds passes while he tries to figure out how to make a conversation - and not the usual what year are you? what classes do you take? - until he notices how the other boy clutches the camera like a lifeline. Crossing his ankles he gives one of his signature smirks and asks, "Need a model? I come pretty cheap."

By the time Seungheon said something again, Jun was flipping through the memory on his camera. Jun couldn't help the shy smile that tugged at his lips at the statement. How ironic. Asking a model if he needs one. Lucky for this kid, he wouldn't mind having one. "Depends. How cheap?" He responded coyly, his baby brown eyes flicking up from the camera to meet Seungheon's gaze.
The first thing that leaps to mind is a kiss, but that's maybe a little much. Even Seung Heon can see that. He doesn't even know the boy's name yet. So, with no shortage of dramatic talent (honestly, he should be an actor instead of a dragon tamer, he thinks), Seung Heon says, "A favour and I'm yours."

A favor? What an odd price. It definitely wasn't what Jun was expecting. A thoughtful expression adorned his features as he studied the other boy. Lifting his camera, Jun saw him through another set of eyes. He was unique, and perfect for a photoshoot. He was planning to get a Gryffindor to model anyway, so why not this guy? Lowering the lens again, Jun gave a nod. "Deal." He decided, completely intrigued by Seungheon at this point. "And just what is my new model's name?"
"Han Seung Heon," he supplies helpfully, smirk transforming into a full-on grin when the boy nods. "And you, o great photographer?" he asks, raising an eyebrow - the one with the slit in it. He thinks he's edgy. He's not.

Jun makes note of the name - one he most certainly won't forget. "It's glorious photographer to you." He jokes lightly, a coy smile painting his pink lips. "Name's Kim Jun-heo." Jun introduced softly, before a question ran through his head. "So what's the favor? Or am I just supposed to find out along the way?" He asked, matching the other'd eye brow raise.
"I've got no clue, o glorious Jun-Heo," he admits, waving a hand absentmindedly as he speaks. "I'll figure it out some day. Why? What're you hoping it is?" his grin is back to being a smirk now, and he runs a hand through his hair again for effect. And also because it's still not looking its best, poor thing.

Jun's cheeks flared pink at the insinuation. Seungheon was trying to kill him. His heart might just give out. "I-" He started but cut himself off not knowing how to finish the sentence. Jun was way too flustered and Seungheon probably wasn't even pulling out the big stops yet. "Just... nothing too crazy. Or illegal." Jun-heo decided in a small voice.
Seung Heon has come to the conclusion that he likes Jun. He's cute and possibly the easiest person to wind up that he's ever come across, and Seung Heon is living. Unaware that Jun is actually dying. "I've only properly broken the law one time, and that was for a very good reason," he says, thinking back to the dragon's egg in the dormitory at Mahoutokoro. "Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a needle in my eye etcetera etcetera. I won't make you break the law unless I have a great reason."

Jun has come to the conclusion that he is terrified of Seungheon. If he can wind him up this easily, there's no telling what the future would hold. At Seungheon's statement, Jun thought he was joking at first but realized very quickly he was serious. Oh. "Pinky promise?" He asked innocently, that gesture meaning more to him than crossing or dying or sticking needles places.
His eyes follow the movement of Jun's hand, and when the pinky's offered he grins, holding back laughter - damn, this boy is cute. "Highest form of promise. Sure," he leans forward and catches Jun's pinky with his own, shaking solemnly before leaning back in his seat and recrossing his ankles. "So. You like dragons at all?" It's Time. He has to gauge how suitable this boy is for Best Friend/Meet the Parents status.

Jun was quite content with the pink promise. Like he said - highest form of promise. And then there was that question. Dragons? Why in the world would he ask about that? Did he know about Jun's fear? Was he teasing Jun? Deciding to play it cool, despite the fear that resonated at the very mention of the creatures, Jun just shrugged. "They're pretty cool. Why?" He answered, tilting his head to the side a bit.
"Oh, good," he says, not suspecting for a second that Jun's only pretending to like them. "It's just some people are really weird about dragons y'know? I mean, they're not that dangerous. I'm not dead yet," he says, eyes lighting up as he talks about his favourite subject. "But you're a Gryffindor, so obviously you're not scared of them. I mean, people should just take a fire protection potion and stop acting like pussies, you get me?"

Jun was one of those pussies. But he nodded anyway. Seungheon just got so excited about the topic, and Jun didn't want to ruin that for him. Besides, it wasn't like he expected Jun to go see dragons with him or anything. It was just light conversation. Right? "So you... Spend a lot of time with them then?" He asked, prompting the boy to go on. If there was one thing stronger than Jun's fear, it was passion. He would want Seungheon to keep talking about his, no matter what it was.
"Understatement. My parents quit Quidditch to start the dragon sanctuary on Jeju Island, so I grew up on it," he explains. "I was afraid of them when I was like, four? And then my dad left me in an empty nest and told me to man the fuck up or he'd feed me to the Opaleye my mum had just found, so I learnt pretty quickly." He shrugs, wearing an expression that effectively conveyed what can you do? "You ever met one?"

Jun's only ever been around dragons once. It was traumatic. He and the Parks went to a reserve right after he learned about magic. He was scared to begin with, but fascinated mostly. Then, there was an unfortunate accident when one of the workers got attacked and killed. Jun saw the whole thing. It was terrifying. And to this day, he's been afraid of them ever since. "Nope." He answered simply, not wanting to relive that nightmare. Then he remembered something Seungheon just said. "Wait, your parents played quidditch?" Jun asked in awe.
"Yeah," he says, yawning. "They were both chasers for the Toyohashi Tengu and the South Korean team. I play for South Korea too but only in the under eighteens," he shrugs, as if this is a completely normal thing to do. Though, really, it is to him. Most people he knows are pretty goddamn good at Quidditch. "My dad is Han Taehyung and my mum is Kim Seohyun. You might of heard of them? They were on the team before we were born though."

Jun was freaking out. He knew who they were. He had their cards. Trying not to seem too obviously excited, Jun shrugged and nodded. "Yeah, I've heard the name." He answered. "Are you going to play for Gryffindor this year?" He asked curiously. If he kept talking about Seungheon's parents, Jun would totally geek out. He might even get away with his whole act if he wasn't smiling so brightly now like a kid on Christmas morning.
He doesn't miss how Jun's expression lights up like a kid in a candy store when he mentions his parents' names, and if he's honest with himself, Seungheon falls in love right then and there. A boy who likes dragons and is enough of a Quidditch nerd to know early 21st century Quidditch stars? Seungheon's decided they're soulmates. "Yeah, 'course I am. Captain's a bundle of fun, too, so it'll at least keep me not bored for the year," he's about to add on then maybe I won't hatch a dragon in the dorm, but that'd be a lie. He's totally gonna hatch a dragon in the dorm. "Do you play?"

Jun shook his head, even letting out a small laugh. "Oh no. I can't handle a quaffle to save my life." He admitted sheepishly. "But I'll definitely be in the cheering section." Jun assured Seungheon with a cute smile.
