*Elmira woke up extra earlier that morning so that she could make Twyla a yummy breakfast. She had several pans going as she made eggs, bacon, hash browns, and chocolate chip pancakes*

Twyla had been lying awake for hours, after suffering from one of her unexpected nightmares, but it was only when she started to smell something incredibly tasty that she'd run downstairs. "Mum, what are you making?" she asked, appearing in the kitchen with a grin on her face.
*She grinned. It made her so happy to see Twyla's excitement.* "You can help make the pancakes if you'd like. You can mix some chocolates into the batter over there."

"Okay," she said, excitement still clear in her voice. She went over to the batter and sneakily ate a little bit of the chocolate before putting the rest in. As she mixed it she tried to contain her energy and use slow strokes so she didn't make a mess, all of her concentration was focused on it.
"Now, you can start cooking them in a pan. Once one side is done, flip it over and cook the other side."

"Okay," she said again, very carefully putting the batter into the pan, but then her concentration started to wander and she watched all of the other things that Elmira was doing. "Why are you making such a big breakfast for me?" she asked, more of less forgetting about the pan altogether now.
*She smiled splitting her focus between cooking and looking at Twyla.* "I want to make up for all the breakfasts I couldn't make you while I was away. And I just love you and thought you would like food." *She looked at Twyla's pan noticing she hadn't flipped the pancakes.* "Don't forget to watch and flip your pancakes, Sweetie."

"Oh, right," she said, quickly looking back at it and turning it over. It was now slightly burnt and she felt a little annoyed that she'd lost concentration, but quickly moved on. "Well, thank you. We do like the food, but it was you we missed when you were away and not the breakfasts," she smiled.
OOC: No problem about forgetting, I do it all the time too :P *hugs*
"I missed you quite a lot when I was gone..I'm very glad to be back now." *She smiled.* "Are you excited for the school year?"

She shrugged, keeping her eyes focused on the pancakes so she wouldn't forget. "I am for some bits, like Potions and Herbology. But not the rest," she said honestly.
"Well, I'm glad that you like Potions so much, but you're going to have a different teacher this year, but I know you'll like them."

"Awh," she said sadly, but she hoped she'd still enjoy the lesson without Elmira being there. "What are you doing this year?" she asked, a little curious and confused because each year she seemed to have a slightly different job.
*She smiled.* "I'll just be the Headmistress this year, so I'll be making sure the school is running alright. We have enough teachers this year that I'm not need to teach anything."

She smiled, "That sounds good, much less stressful. And we'll be able to spend more time together, maybe," she grinned.
*She smiled.* "Of course. You can come up to my office whenever you need, and we can go to Hogsmeade on the weekends. Only if you've finished your homework though." She grinned.*

She grinned and nodded too, "Of course. I was wondering if you could help me with something I was trying to do..." she said, suddenly looking a little more sheepish. So far she'd not told Elmira about it, though she'd hardly hidden it and Elmira probably already knew. "I was trying to make my own chocolate and put potions in them...like ones to make you sleep better and things. I thought it was a good idea. But I'm not very good at it yet."
