Jarryd SummersHufflepuff Alumni, Transfiguration Professor -Animagus – 00:43, October 23, 2017 (UTC)
"Welcome back, second years. Hope you guys are excited for what I have planned this year but first off, I want to know what you guys now know what Transfiguration is about, compared to last year?"
Jackson GreerHufflepuff Fourth Year -Son of the Greers – 01:59, October 23, 2017 (UTC)~
Of all the professors this was the guy who came back? "Well as I remember it... you tried to get us to design our own curriculum with very little understanding of the subject matter... and so we didn't get much done at all?"

She finds herself smirking to herself, as she sits back, staring ahead. You tell him, Jackson.
Jarryd SummersHufflepuff Alumni, Transfiguration Professor -Animagus – 02:39, October 23, 2017 (UTC)
"I'm getting a lot of hostility from you, Jackson, and I'm not liking. I did what I did last year to push your mind to its limits to learn more and if you say that doesn't work, I'm of an example of it. My mind was pushed to its limits to become an Animagus and because of that, I learnt more about Transfiguration. I was also using it as a way to out the students that read up on Transfiguration and were excited about Transfiguration as I was when I was a first year."
Gavin Abernathy Gryffindor -Second Year ✧ The Reigning Monarch – 05:56, October 23, 2017 (UTC)
He shifted his gaze thrice from Summers, to Greer and back again sighing in-between.
She thought Jackson was completely right. "...but what if we're not as excited as you were when you started? I mean...you still need to teach us spells and things right? So...what spells will we be learnin' this year?"
- "somebody's taking care of all of the mess I've made," Message Me - 18:52, October 23, 2017 (UTC)
"But... just because it worked with you... doesn't mean it'll work with us. We were new last year. And - and you didn't actually teach anything. It was all self-taught," she says, a bit shyly, but with a frown on her face. Though she doesn't like speaking up in class, she feels a sense of duty. Of defending Jackson.
Jarryd SummersHufflepuff Alumni, Transfiguration Professor -Animagus – 19:28, October 23, 2017 (UTC)
"I was new too, you know. Fresh out of school, been at Hogwarts since 4th year and thought that was a good idea. I promise I'll make up with my stupidity last year and still try to make class as fun as I wished it was. There is one spell that is kind of boring but I know a way to make it fun, if you guys are up for it." Jarryd waved his wand and a bird appeared on everyone's desk. "I know how some of you guys wanted to keep the birds I used last year so well do that kinda of thing again but the first, let's say 3 people that finish gets to keep them. You guys are going to be changing birds into wine goblets."
Chantal was there for some time, quite observantly watching the interactions, although every now and then, she did write a thing or two down.
Jarryd SummersHufflepuff Alumni, Transfiguration Professor -Animagus – 01:42, October 25, 2017 (UTC)
"It's simple. It is just like any other spell, you need to just copy what I am going to do while picturing what the spell does." Jarryd went over to the bird on his desk, before doing the correct movements and saying "Vera Verto," changing the bird into water goblet.
Jackson GreerHufflepuff Fourth Year -Son of the Greers – 02:49, October 25, 2017 (UTC)
"Just sort of picture the bird becoming a goblet," he whispered to Anna, since he doubted the professor would give her any guidance. Apparently since he was an expert, they were all supposed to be experts. "Look for similarities... like the legs and the stem of a goblet... stuff like that."

Her face twists. She looks like she's in misery, since the professor isn't being vocal and Poppy isn't sure what he's doing. She might have to do a couple self-study sessions, or seek help from someone who knows how to teach and explain. She bites her lip a bit unsurely. Jackson seems... distracted, so Poppy tries to do it on her own. She thinks she has a vague idea of what the wand movement should be, and she knows the incantation plus where the bird is (just because she touched for it, not because someone told her, thank you very much (not)). She's riddled with insecurity, though. She taps the bird three times, saying, "Vera Verto."
Bai's been mumbling something unintelligible from her desk, trying to make sense of the rapid chatter. The demonstration poses to stretch her eyes with confusion and leave her head spinning (literally) to check her peers' actions on what to do. She lists her head to the side, her pretty features now pinched. It doesn't help her any, but it's an itch of a habit that she's developed over the past year. Her English is much better, but all the side conversations are distracting. Distressed, she pushes her feet forward and back again. "Berry bertie?" she says, being careful to not smack her bird as she tapped it thrice. The movement is precise, and she'd corrected her posture a couple of times before the attempt, but oh crap.
Poppy's attempt works almost completely, the goblet only having a few feathers, while Bai's does nothing.
OOC: SO sorry I forgot to mention I was GMing this.
Jarryd SummersHufflepuff Alumni, Transfiguration Professor -Animagus – 05:05, October 28, 2017 (UTC)
"It's V. Sorry about that and I'll try to talk more clearly next time." Jarryd said to Anna, before hearing Poppy say the spell and looking over to her. "That's really good, Poppy, especially for your first try. If your willing to pluck the feathers off it and try again, I'll change it back to a bird if you want."
Jackson GreerHufflepuff Fourth Year -Son of the Greers – 20:58, October 28, 2017 (UTC)~
"Why does she have to pluck the feathers off first? She can't even see where they are!" he said, frowning. "You could just... change it back, even with the feathers?" He looked at his bird, picturing the legs fusing together to become the stem of a goblet. The bird would be no more... it would now be a vessel for drinking. He tapped the bird thrice before incanting clearly, "Vera Verto!"
Not needing a translation for Jackson's tone and the perplexed expression on Poppy's face, Bai pushes her chair back (the loud sound makes her wince) and gathers her untouched bird into her arms. She shuffles over to Poppy's table and swaps them. Her head angles itself to give their professor a look of total disapproval. "New bird. Same place. Can try again. Not need pluck. Did once, can twice and butter- better," she encourages, speaking as loudly as she dares so Poppy knows she's right in front of her. Once that's done and over with, she turns to Summers and crosses her arms. It's obvious she's much older than the rest of the class, and impossible to miss since she's taller than the freakin' professor. "Dishonor on you, dishonor on your cow, dishonor on your bear," she declares seriously. In reality, she's not 100% sure what that means but she'd overheard some senior years using it. "你不是一个周到的人," she tacks on for good measure, even if no one will understand.
She'd reluctantly start on her bird, doing what they'd said and picturing the bird as a goblet...a black feathery squawking goblet. She'd grimace and tap it with her wand. "Vera Verto."

He couldn't do the spell. He wasn't even willing to try. He didn't know what was going to happen to the eye balls, the tongue, and rest of the little bird organs inside of it. For that reason alone he stood there watching everyone else to see if they had goblets filled with guts. He laughed and said exactly what he was thinking. "You're all making goblets filled with guts!"
