Wearing this, she had her back turned to the class as she was writing 'Gobstones' onto the board. For a few minutes, she didn't say anything, moving around to organise herself, then she did the roll. "Welcome back," she said as she turned on her heel to look at everyone with a small smile. "As you can see, my name is Professor Van Der Hoek, though if you want to call me Etta, that's fine." She knew first names weren't particularly...conventional but oh well. "I will be your professor for the year. If you require any help, I am always here, so please don't hesitate. I don't want this class to be hard and I will try to make it as easy as possible, although it is also your organisation and effort that might contribute to how you find this class. I am your support system but I am not your mother, I won't badger you. Now, to jump straight into it, we are to be learning how to make Gobstones this week, something I'm sure you will enjoy. This involves charming stinksap which we shall place inside the marble. Now, can anyone tell me what stinksap is?"

"A sap that stinks?" she suggests, probably very unhelpfully.

He snickered at the response, sitting beside Astrid, and didn't say anything due to simply not knowing any of it.

A small smile tugged on her lips before she pulled out a small phial with a green fluid inside. "Correct, five points too...Gryffindor," she said, "it comes from different types of plants and is a defence mechanism. It can be used as a treatment to ill animals now," she said, unplugging it and held it slightly away from her so she wasn't going to smell it, and handed it to the nearest student to be passed around, "much like in plants, when in gobstones, it will shoot this fluid at the player who loses points. For today, we will be focussing on those gobstones and there will be a layer of charms that we will need to do to make them. For an object so small, this will be no trouble. Any questions?"
