"Greetings everyone, I'll be your Care of Magical Creatures professor for this year. My name is Professor Chevalier, and I look forward to meeting all of you. My door is always open and if any of you need some extra help in any subject be sure to notify me right away and I'll be sure to make time in my schedule for you."
After waiting a fair amount of time for the third year students to file in, Silas sat up from his desk and walked to the front of it. "Hello third year students, and welcome back to Hogwarts, as well as an even bigger welcome to your first year of Care of Magical Creatures. I'm happy you took my class as one of your electives, so lets not waste anytime. Let's start with Hippogriffs, what are they?"
"Very close Mister Black, it isn't only the head of an eagle but also the fore legs. Good job though, you've earned your house five points. Can anybody go into further detail on hippogriffs, as well as perhaps tell the class where the species is native to?"
Having been standing outside the class waiting for all the students to file in, Silas walked in afterwards and closed the door behind him. "Welcome back students, I hope you're all excited to embark on your second year of Care of Magical Creatures. I know I am, so let's jump right back into things. Fire crabs, does anyone know what they are?"

She waits for someone else to say something at first, since Elysia didn't know all that much. But when the class stays silent, she says, "It's a turtle-shaped crab creature thing that shoots out flames."
"That is correct Miss Peyton, five points to Ravenclaw." Silas said with a smile as he quickly glanced at his notes. "Is anyone able to expand on what Miss Peyton has already told us about fire crabs?"
When students came into class and sat in their seats, they would see a large picture of a Thestral on the board. Silas made his way into the classroom a few minutes after the last student and walked straight up to the board. "Hello students, welcome back to Hogwarts. We have no time to waste this year so let's get started with what's on the board." He said as he pointed to the Thestral picture, "Who can tell me what this creature is?"
Silas knew full well going into this class that not everyone would be able to see his example picture, and those that could see it were potentially victims of
an unfortunate situation. "Very good Mister Dane." Turning to the rest of the class, Silas was ready to explain. "For those of you who can't see the picture, what Callum described as a thestral is a skeletal horse with wide bat-like wings. Is anyone here aware of why some people are able to see thestrals and some aren't?"
Silas was excited for today's topics, as it was one of his favourite magical creatures he'd ever studied or done lessons on. Eager to start the lesson, Silas began speaking as the last student made their way in. "Welcome back everyone! This is the first lesson of your sixth year for Care of Magical Creatures. I hope you're all excited, I know I am for today's topic of the Phoenix. Can anyone tell me what a Phoenix is?"
Watching from the front of his desk, Silas waited for all the students to trickle in. Once it seemed like most were all accounted for, Silas began the lesson. "Hello everyone. This is an exciting year, with it being your final year here at Hogwarts and what not. So let's not waste much time and get right into things, starting with Centaurs. What are they?"
