Fourth Floor Storage Room
Boxes were once kept here, filled with the paraphernalia of magical oratory and the narration of bold and legendary deeds, but the passage of time, and the pressure of neglect, has fused those at the rear of this room and their contents together. The result is a sort of avant-garde sculpture, from the varied orifices of which things long undescribed or known drip and scuttle. The room is roughly rectangular, about twenty feet on a side, and the caretaker keeps certain essentials, Mrs. Skower's All-Purpose Magical Mess Remover, for example, here, although the look of the room rather suggests it doesn't live up to the hype. There's even, for some unknown reason, a set of Muggle musical instruments, bagpipes, they're called, tucked away under a pile of "Daily Prophet" issues by the door. What past treasures, or seeds for nightmares, may lurk among the detritus here, one can only guess.
