The Open-Ended Questions

A. Please answer the following questions as elaborately as possible. (Remember, this part is only a requirement for your third to fifteenth character! However, if you want to have more input on where you character is sorted, then please answer #6!)

1) What would you consider to be your character's strengths, and your character's weaknesses? Elaborate on your answer.

Strengths: She's bubbly, friendly, kind, helpful, dedicated, loyal, excells in creative thinking, and she's a great cook

Weaknesses: She can be too clingy, she gets too emotional over things, she is hard-headed, she's also too curious

Overall, Jan-Ji is a bright spirit who brings smiles and laughter. She puts her whole heart into things which can sometimes lead to heart ache. She can become friends with anyone and is not deterred by status. Once she sets her mind to something, there's no changing it. You just have to roll with the punches.

2) What goals and objectives has your character set out in their life? Is it to be successful and rich? Is it to find happiness? Why?

Happiness is JJ's number one goal. Ideally, she'd fine a nice someone, settle down, and open a bake shop. Of course, she is more realistic than that... She doesn't care what order it comes in. And why? Because this girl thrives off happiness and rainbows - it's only natural.

3) What's their ideal way of spending a free day? Why so?

She loves hanging out with her friends, so they'd definately be there. As far as an activity, JJ really likes to shop. After getting her heels in the ground, JJ wouldn't stop 'til she dropped. Shopping, eating, maybe even playing some games. At night, she'd want to ice skate. She thinks the ring is so pretty when it lights up. That day would be pretty perfect for her.

4) If your character could only keep 5 possessions, what would they be? Why?

Her doggie Mochi, her favorite pair of heels, her sketchbook, her friends (does that count?) , and her wand. Her dog of course because he's simply the cutest! Her heels because no matter where she goes in life, she needs to look good while going. Her sketchbook because it has all her ideas in it. Her friends because they are basically air for her. And finally, she'd have her wand to protect herself and just to make things easier on her.

5) What one thing would your character change about the wizarding society? Why?

Fashion. Those horrid school uniforms, she'd change in a heartbeat. Even out of school, the wizarding world needs a fashion awakening. Maybe instead of a bakery, she'll open a studio...

6) What house does your character want to be in? What house does your character not want to be in? Why?

JJ wants to be in Hufflepuff because she's loyal as heck and doesn't feel like she'd fit in anywhere else. Maybe Gryffindor...? No. She'd be caught dead wearing that awful shade of red and gold. Yellow suits her much better.

The Character's Background

1) Give a description of your character's personality. Are you noble or sneaky? Arrogant or Humble? Anything about your character that might help the Sorting Hat decide. (Don't worry, you can copy this onto your character page later!) (Remember, personality must be at least one paragraph long for the first two characters, two paragraphs long for the third to eighth characters, and three paragraphs long for the ninth to fifteenth!)

Jan-Ji is one of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. She's super bubbly and doesn't mind lending a helping hand to anyone. Once you're friends with JJ, there's no going back. She is super loyal and would fight for you until her last breath. She's very creative and can bring any Pintrest idea to life. Her cooking skills are beyond amazing and she prides herself on it too. She's good at picking up new things whether it be a recipe, language, or fashion trend. That's also done with the help of her determination and perserverence.  The downside to her loyalty, however, is that she can sometimes come off as needy or clingy. Because she gets too emotional with things, it's really easy to hurt her. She tends to be hard-headed, too, which means you can't deter her from doing what's she's already decided. JJ also has a bad habit of being too curious. Dark alley-way? Probably treasure down there. Abandoned building? Probably filled with puppies. There's no stopping this girl.

2) Write about the history of your character. How did they grow up? Is there an incident that made them the way they are? etc. (Again, you can copy this onto your character page later!) (Remember, history must at least be two paragraphs long for the first two characters, three paragraphs long for the third to eighth character, and four paragraphs long for the ninth to fifteenth character!)

Jan-Ji was born on September 6 in Namyangju, South Korea to Park Jonghyun and Park Ga-Eul. She had a happy childhood with loving parents. She was normal. Until she wasn't. At a young age, Jan-Ji started expieriencing magic. As an emotional child, it was hard to control her instincts. So everytime she got upset, the lights in her house would correspond with her mood. Anger was red, sadness was blue, excitement was yellow and so on. This little quirk never really went away, and the lights around her would still change to her emotions even today. She knew she was different, and her parents finally revealed the world of magic to her. After that, she didn't feel so different.

The Parks made frequent visits to the wizarding world after that. Jan-Ji quickly adapted to the new world around her. One of her favorite things was all the new food and treats she experienced. She decided that she was going to learn how to make them. From that moment on, JJ took a liking to baking and picked it up as her new hobby.

When JJ was old enough, her parents decided that she should attend a wizarding school. She ended up in Japan where she attended Mahoutokoro School of Magic. It was new and very different, but Jan-Ji enjoyed new things. She ended up having to learn Japanese with the help of some other students who came from Korea as well. She made new friends and began to thrive, but during her second year, her father sent word that his job was sending him to England. She'd be even further away from her parents, brother, and her precious puppy Mochi. She decided it was time for a change of venue.

It's now her third year, and she's headed for Hogwarts. It was the best option to be close to her family, and hey - she did mention she liked trying new things. Thankfully, she already had some English under her belt so the transition would be much easier. Now the only thing to do was make new friends. And she would get right on that.

3) Write about your character's appearance. What do they look like? Are you planning on using a certain model for your character? If you already have a picture in mind, you can put it here!

My model is Kim So-Eun.

4) Is your character a Pure-Blood, Half-Blood or Muggle-Born? Do you have any notable magical relations? (Remember, you cannot be related to important Harry Potter characters!)

Half-blood; no noteworthy magical relations

5) Does your character have any special magical abilities? Or special abilities in general (photographic memory, etc.)? Is he or she of a different magical race, such as Veela, Vampire, Werewolf or the like? Part or half of that magical race counts! (Remember, you cannot have a character with special abilities/of a different magical race as one of your first two characters!)

Nope - no special abilities other than her weird things with the lights. But she can't really control that. She is very talented when it comes to cooking or fashion, however.

6) What year is your character in?

Third
