The Open-Ended Questions

A. Please answer the following questions as elaborately as possible. (Remember, this part doesn't have to be filled out if it's an expansion character!)

1) What would you consider to be your character's strengths, and your character's weaknesses? Elaborate on your answer. When I think of Ophelia, I think of a spider in a web or a fly on the wall. She is sneaky and sly with a wit sharper than glass and tends to bring a lot of violence to the table. In other retrospect, she can be a calm fury or a being capable of manipulation through sexual attraction. She is surprisingly deceptive and cares for no one but herself.

2) Has your character's life played out the way they wanted? Have they achieved the goals they set out for their life? Why, or why not?

I would personally say that her life is definitely different than she had once hoped it to be. At one time she had wanted to be a Wizengamot and now she is a contral killer for Arcana Alliance.

3) What's their ideal way of spending a free day? Why so? On free days, she can normally be found having a drink, buying expensive gifts or visiting her many contacts in town.

4) If your character could only keep 5 possessions, what would they be? Why? Her designer purse (which one depending on season), accessories for any outfit, lipstick and a couple weapons.

5) What one thing would your character change about the wizarding society? Why? How troubled youth are ten times more likely to revert to illegal activity.

The Character's Background

1) Give a history of your character. History must be at least two paragraphs long. How did they grow up? Is there an incident that made them the way they are? etc. (Remember, history must at least be two paragraphs long for the first two characters, three paragraphs long for the third to eighth character, and four paragraphs long for the ninth to fifteenth character!)

The Ainsworth lineage, despite all their nobility and long-standing relationships crafted over hundreds of years, have a dark underbelly and an even more horrifying tale that was left behind in the streets of London when James and Cordelia chose to move to Germany in order to live a simple, married life. In retrospect, life was grand until Cordelia discovered that she was pregnant with twins. Having sworn to wait a couple years before even considering the idea of a child, the choice to be a mother was thrust upon Cordelia and was combated back with malice and hatred toward her children, Laertes and Ophelia. She developed postpartum depression and turned from a once independent, strong woman to a stranger who sits in the darkness and mutters to herself.

James, beside himself with a very mentally ill wife and two infants to care for, struggled for many years with alcohol and substance abuse. When the twins turned five years old, their father finally cleaned up his act and tried to help Cordelia thrive as well. Unfortunately, his constant pushing only made Cordelia snap. On the eve of a beautiful summer night, she gave Ophelia and Laertes a bath. Somehow, during the time that she chose to get up and leave the infants in the bathtub alone, Ophelia rolled over and was face-down in the tub and hardly breathing when James found her. Life only continued to go down hill.

On the twin's tenth birthday, not long after showing their magical abilities, Cordelia, in one of her moods chose to tell the children about the tale of a family groomed for generations to be contract killers. Little did the children know, the Ainsworth family had a bloody reputation that they would soon learn to become apart of. Once old enough, the twins went to Durmstrang and Cordelia, driven to the edge with displeasure for her life, took it on the summer of their fourth year.

James became addicted to drinking not long after, putting the twins into a cycle of anger and violence. When they turned fifteen, James begun to train them like he had when he was a young boy. Like their relatives before them, Ophelia and Lae were designed to be the perfect killing machines; equipped with vast knowledge on body anatomy, martial arts, weapons and even hacking skills. Once graduated from Hogwarts, James had the twins shipped off to London to stay with his sister while he tried to sober up. Ophelia and Lae begun to make a life for themselves in Hogsmeade, settled down into a beautiful home that was entirely funded by the Ainsworth fortune. While her brother is busy with trying to become the next biggest pop sensation, Ophelia got swept up in the family business and joined the Arcana Alliance.

2) Give a description of your character's personality. Personality must be at least one paragraph long. Are you noble or sneaky? Arrogant or humble? (Remember, personality must be at least one paragraph long for the first two characters, two paragraphs long for the third to eighth characters, and three paragraphs long for the ninth to fifteenth!)

Ophelia, even when she was a young toddler had already taken the reins on the mean girl/queen bee persona. She was a full-blown genius with no one to understand, as most people are pushed away due to her career path. She often thought she was entitled to everything wheen she was a young teenager and often times, fell hard because of it. Barely scraping herself back up after a life cycle of hard times, Ophelia discovered a rage in her that could only be lulled with murder. She became an assassin for a organization of witches and wizards.

Rarely thinking about anyone but herself (except when it came to Lae), she prides herself on appearance and cares too much about how she looks. However, there is a sweet side to Ophelia that is rarely ever credited and often overlooked by some unfavorable traits. Ophelia, deep down, isn't as bad as she wants people to think.

3) Are you Pure-Blood, Half-Blood or Muggle-Born? Do you have any notable magical relations? (Remember, you cannot be related to important Harry Potter characters!) Pure-Blood

4) Does your character have any special magical abilities? Or special abilities in general (photographic memory, etc.)? Is he or she of a different magical race, such as Veela, Vampire, Werewolf or the like? Part or half of that magical race counts! (Remember, you cannot have one as your first two characters!) Nope.

5) What is your character's profession? Does your character plan to enroll your character into the Ministry of Magic? Does your character not work? Is your character a teacher? Assassin for Arcana Alliance

6) Describe your character's marital status. Is your character single or married? What is the spouse's name? Any kids? Single. No spouse. No children.

7) What about your character's appearance? What do they look like? Feel free to write down what they look like! If you're using any FC, you can put a picture here! Please state the character's faceclaim!

  • Hey, Vic. I haven't commented on this forum yet, because it makes me uncomfortable for one certain reason. I've seen Riverdale, or I've at least watched a good portion (I'm admittedly quite a few episodes behind now, because I've been too busy with school). The rich family in the nice mansion with two redheaded children, a boy and a girl nonetheless, seems too familiar. The brother falls in love with a girl slightly insane. The brother dies. You've also used Madelaine Petsch, who played the rich female redheaded twin of a rich male redheaded twin who died. It just seems too oddly familiar and I'm not confident that I can approve it, especially given what was discussed last year regarding importing characters from other medias. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to approve it, nor do I (deep down) feel that I should. I'm super duper sorry, but I want to talk with other members of the team before I make a bigger decision on this. I would like to just be able to approve it, but I feel that (in some way) I would be in the wrong without checking with other people first.

MoM Ophelia Ainsworth has been registered as a citizen by the British Ministry of Magic!

"Upon the signature of the International Statute of Secrecy in 1689, wizards went into hiding for good. It was natural, perhaps, that they formed their own small communities within a community."
