A. Please answer the following questions as elaborately as possible. (Remember, this part is only a requirement for your third to fifteenth character! However, if you want to have more input on where you character is sorted, then please answer #6!)
1) What would you consider to be your character's strengths, and your character's weaknesses? Elaborate on your answer. Niamh believes her independence and creativity are two of her biggest strengths. She particularly values the fact that she is confident, and her intelligence that make her a very complicated player in the game of life. Her weaknesses can include her lack of showing emotion, her sarcasm on a daily basis, and she also has a particularly unique brand of blunt honesty, so sometimes her social interactions aren't the best... Also, we can't forget the fact that she has trouble with sensory stuff at times.
2) What goals and objectives has your character set out in their life? Is it to be successful and rich? Is it to find happiness? Why? Niamh has set out a particularly ambitious goal, and that is to help and become successful doing something that could make a huge change in the world, particularly the wizarding world. She maybe, wants to find a way, to connect muggle and magical technologies, but if that doesn't work out, then maybe she can find the way to magically cure cancer.
3) What's their ideal way of spending a free day? Why so? Niamh's idea of spending a free day is spending it with Alistair, James, and Madison, usually inside their local library and on the computers, trying to play mind games and basically beat each other however they can. They hang out basically all day and just crash in a big pile of DeMarcos and McCailín kids.
4) If your character could only keep 5 possessions, what would they be? Why? 1) Notebooks

5) What one thing would your character change about the wizarding society? Why? What she would change about the wizarding society is the fact that kids can't use wands... If they're not entering school until eleven, then surely, to help people get used to that idea, then they should be able to start practicing early.
6) What house does your character want to be in? What house does your character not want to be in? Why? She wants to personally be in Slytherin. She doesn't want any other house... Only Slytherin for Niamh.

1) Give a description of your character's personality. Are you noble or sneaky? Arrogant or Humble? Anything about your character that might help the Sorting Hat decide. (Don't worry, you can copy this onto your character page later!) (Remember, personality must be at least one paragraph long for the first two characters, two paragraphs long for the third to eighth characters, and three paragraphs long for the ninth to fifteenth!) Niamh is a dangerously bright and creative girl. She has a brain for history and politics, ironically, and spends most of her time with her nose buried in a book. She is confident in who she is as a person, and she particularly enjoys time with people and time by herself. Niamh is a naturally determined and ambitious student, and when times call for it, she can easily kick butt and take names in whatever subject she needs to. She fears that she'll never get a chance to achieve greatness, but with her parents' encouragement, this young girl has slowly begun to change her mind.
Being born under the sign of Cancer, a water sign, Niamh's personality is slightly a bit unpredictable at times. She particularly enjoys educative arguments, especially with her more... brighter cousins, and can be found reading with her father in his study. Seeing that she's a Cancer, she is a bit more challenging to get to know as a person. Niamh is a paradox at the center. She can be friendly, but more often than not, she's actually quite hesitant around new people. She is celebral, that is, preferring to spend time with people she knows and not spending time with people she doesn't know. Niamh wants to be the mystery; she wants to have the greatness and prominence of Slytherin, but without the attention that Ravenclaws or Gryffindors need.
Niamh has a cynical view on the world, believing that everyone has a little bit of darkness in their hearts. She is, despite this, unbelievably naive, but she prefers not to mention that. She craves love and accomplishment, and has a bit of a habit that she searches for approval at every chance she gets. She always tries to impress, to be the best in school. She is quite emotional, but she truthfully does not show it. Instead, when she's feeling emotional, she resorts to a creative way to get it out... usually by music or writing. Niamh's MBTI type is INTJ. This type tends to hold great talent, and she is well aware of it, but the only problem is that some people tend to view her as egotistical. Niamh is quite blunt at times, and heavily sarcastic, but she is, overall, a fairly nice person under the walls she puts up.
2) Write about the history of your character. How did they grow up? Is there an incident that made them the way they are? etc. (Again, you can copy this onto your character page later!) (Remember, history must at least be two paragraphs long for the first two characters, three paragraphs long for the third to eighth character, and four paragraphs long for the ninth to fifteenth character!) Conall McCailín had spent his entire life in Scotland. He grew up playing with his older brother and sister in the highland fields surrounding his family's house, attending primary school, and basically enjoying his childhood. When he was seven, his first sign of magic occurred, turning his older brother, Kenneth's hair a bright blue when he wouldn't leave him alone one evening. When Conall turned eleven, he entered Hogwarts, and was sorted into Gryffindor, despite being a Gryffindor-Slytherin hatstall.
His first four years were spent in school, taking the number one spot in his year. In his fifth year, he ran into an unfamiliar Hufflepuff. Meredith di Fiore had newly transferred to Hogwarts from the Italian school of magic with her parents moving to England. What she didn't expect was to run into one of the smartest and hottest guys in her year on her first day at Hogwarts. That meeting changed her life, and she began to try and figure out how to stalk him, such as waiting in the hallways to watch him walking with his friends to classes. Conall knew he was being watched, but merely continued to go about his schedule.
At graduation, Conall finally gathered his courage and asked Meredith out in front of everyone. She was surprised to say the least, but quickly agreed. One date turned into two, turned into four, and so on... until on August 15th, 2016, Conall proposed to Meredith in front of a small garden in the city. Meredith quickly blinked before she agreed, and five months later, on January 15th, 2017, they married.
Later that year, the new McCailín couple moved to London. Conall entered the Royal Air Force, and Meredith begun to teach kindergarten at the local primary school. Five years later, and Conall being a Major and Instructional Pilot on top of everything, Meredith revealed that she was pregnant. They had had two miscarriages beforehand, and so were nervous for their baby. Finally, on June 27th, 2022, at 3:14 in the afternoon, Niamh Aisling McCailín was born.
The little girl was born two weeks later than her best friend, Alistair DeMarcos, but despite that difference, the two were the best of friends. Niamh and Alistair basically grew up together on base, attending the same schools and somehow, magically being placed in the same classes. When Niamh was two, Meredith had another miscarriage, and so, they stopped trying for children. The DeMarcos family, consisting of Anna, Phillip and their three children, Madison, James, and Alistair, had known the McCailín couple since before children came along, and both women went through their pregnancies together.
Alistair and Niamh were the best of friends, always doing everything together. They even slept in the same crib sometimes, and they're really close. Niamh had her first sign of magic at age six, and it was accidentally turning their very fat cat orange and black like Garfield... It was immediately documented via picture, and the parents soon learned that it was James' fault... he had been reading Garfield to the pseudo-twins. The news that Niamh was a witch wasn't anything special, seeing that all of the DeMarcos and the McCailín family members were magical as well. But with the final kid's sign of magic, they had a little celebration to stop the potential headaches with four kids running around... all with magic and that nine months of every year will be quiet and peaceful. Finally.
She's entering her first year at Hogwarts School, alongside the DeMarcos kids, with Alistair entering the same year as Niamh. Both are highly excited, but do not like to share their emotions.
