The Open-Ended Questions

A. Please answer the following questions as elaborately as possible. (Remember, this part is only a requirement for your third to fifteenth character! However, if you want to have more input on where you character is sorted, then please answer #6!)

1) What would you consider to be your character's strengths, and your character's weaknesses? Elaborate on your answer.
Strength: Her unwavering loyalty; it serves as inspiration to do things even when it may be tough.
Weakness: Her unquestionable loyalty. She'll do anything as long as her friends ask her to. Anything.

2) What goals and objectives has your character set out in their life? Is it to be successful and rich? Is it to find happiness? Why?
It's to find happiness with her friends and family at her side; it wouldn't be accomplishing anything if she had to leave them behind.

3) What's their ideal way of spending a free day? Why so?
She'd have in the morning (not conditioning though!) for gymnastics because it always helps her start the day energized and it calms her as well. Afterwards, she'd have lunch with her parents, rest for a bit, then go out with a couple of friends until late, doing whatever they want to do. She'll get home at around 5AM, probably, then end up sleeping in until noon the following day.

4) If your character could only keep 5 possessions, what would they be? Why?

Her wand, because that's practical. She'd keep her leather jacket from the Serpents, because she believes it to be such a huge part of her identity. She'd keep a scarf her parents gave her when she was younger, to remember them always. She'd keep her collection of succulents because she's spent so much time on helping them grow that it would be a waste to not keep them. She'd probably also keep a plain black leotard -- one of her favorites.

5) What one thing would your character change about the wizarding society? Why?

She's not exactly sure -- she doesn't really have any big, life-changing thoughts. To her, things are fine the way they are with wizarding society. There isn't much you can do to change it, she believes.

6) What house does your character want to be in? What house does your character not want to be in? Why?

She doesn't have any preference. When she was younger, she would've wanted Slytherin but she's very Hufflepuff-y.

The Character's Background

1) Give a description of your character's personality. Are you noble or sneaky? Arrogant or Humble? Anything about your character that might help the Sorting Hat decide. (Don't worry, you can copy this onto your character page later!) (Remember, personality must be at least one paragraph long for the first two characters, two paragraphs long for the third to eighth characters, and three paragraphs long for the ninth to fifteenth!)

Liya's defining trait is that her loyalty is unwavering. If someone asked her if she'd jump of a bridge just because the rest of her friends are doing it, she'd reply 'yes' in a heartbeat and it wouldn't even be a joke. She will do anything her friends ask her without much questions -- she trusts in her judgment to make friends with good judgment. Anything they want her to do is probably worth doing.

Because of this, it's easy to find her personality paradoxical in nature if you don't know her very well. Liya is a very sweet, soft-spoken girl. She rarely talks out of turn and it's rare that you don't see her sitting with perfect posture, her hands folded in her lap like a princess. However, if her friends say it's time to fuck shit up, then her personality will do a 180 real quick. You'll see her shrug her leather jacket unto her pastel-colored attire, and standing side by side with the Serpents as the engage in what is probably illegal activity without batting an eyelid.

It's easy to get along with Liya if you're friends with her friends, or, at the very least, if her friends don't hate you. She can blindly hate someone her friends dislike but at the same time, she always assumes the best about someone when meeting them. She's a very nice, low-maintenance friend who will go out of her way to make the other party feel valued. There is no 'too much' when it comes to exhausting herself for the happiness of someone she cares about.

2) Write about the history of your character. How did they grow up? Is there an incident that made them the way they are? etc. (Again, you can copy this onto your character page later!) (Remember, history must at least be two paragraphs long for the first two characters, three paragraphs long for the third to eighth character, and four paragraphs long for the ninth to fifteenth character!)

Liyanna Little's parents met in their youth, both teenage Serpents who would eventually grow up and fall in love somewhere along the way. They got married young and had two children, a son and a daughter. Liya was born ten years after her brother, the large age gap encouraging Liya's 'follower' attitude. She easily bought into anything that was fed to her. Lucky for her, her parents didn't have any extremist views. Growing up, they would just explain to her that while they were in fact partaking in illegal activity, as long as it could be justified, it was alright. Because of that, Liya grew up with a rather grey set of morals, but mostly just went along with whatever her parents said was right.

When her brother went to Hogwarts, he developed a very strong idea of morality and justice. After graduating, he pursued a career in the auror department of the ministry and cut of all ties from his family, changing his last name and moving in with a friend. Wanting to get Liya out of that life, he tried taking her with him, but her loyalty towards her parents were unwavering. Why would she choose a brother who was always gone for 3/4 of the year? At only eight her parents told her to make a choice, knowing that she would choose them, and they were right. Since then, Liya has been an only child.

Liya's first signs of magic always had something to do with the people around her. If she noticed one of her parents in pain, she would heal whatever was wrong. If they needed something in a different room, it would magically fly to her side for her to give it to them. If they wanted her to clean her room, everything would magically fix itself. This made her a very convenient child to have around, always aiming to please. Aside from that, she also enthusiastically took part in anything her parents thought was good for her. From disastrous attempts at teaching her to play an instrument to more successful attempts at learning ballet, Liya did it all. Dance became one of favorite past times, and as she gew older the flexibility she developed would later help her as she decided to take up gymnastics.

When Liya was eleven she started attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, being sorted into Hufflepuff despite her family of Slytherins. Still, it wasn't held against her and pretty much everyone saw it coming anyway. It was at this point that her parents started easing her into the Serpents lifestyle, introducing her to current members and telling her stories of all the trouble they'd get up to back when they were teenagers. Convinced that she belonged in that sort of family, Liya was able to finally join the Serpents once her parents deemed her old enough at fourteen, finally putting on that leather jacket.

3) Write about your character's appearance. What do they look like? Are you planning on using a certain model for your character? If you already have a picture in mind, you can put it here!

Liya Gif 2
Model: Kat Graham

4) Is your character a Pure-Blood, Half-Blood or Muggle-Born? Do you have any notable magical relations? (Remember, you cannot be related to important Harry Potter characters!) Pure-blood.

5) Does your character have any special magical abilities? Or special abilities in general (photographic memory, etc.)? Is he or she of a different magical race, such as Veela, Vampire, Werewolf or the like? Part or half of that magical race counts! (Remember, you cannot have a character with special abilities/of a different magical race as one of your first two characters!) Nope.

6) What year is your character in? Incoming 5th.

OOC Questions

C. These do not affect what house you're sorted to, but everybody must answer them!

1) Is this your first character?

A. This is my first character.
B. No, this is not my first character.

2) If your answer to the previous question is B, how many characters do you have? How many of them are "exotic" (of a different magical race/have a special ability)? 3/0.

Hufflepuff crest The Sorting Hat has placed Liya Little into Hufflepuff!

"You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true,
And unafraid of toil."
