"Hello! I'm Jack, and I'm a new student this year. I'd like to try out for Chaser for the Slytherin team. I've played Quidditch before at Lil' Bundles, and I was surprisingly good at the Chaser position. Not only would it be very fun and I'd get to make some friends, it would give me something to concentrate on to help improve my brain and memory. Nolan focused on every word the kid had to say. It was always a risky move to get a first year on the team - but sometimes it was the perfect move to make. "I can already tell that you're fast, and the fact that you've played before is always a good thing." Nolan began. "I'll admit that I was hesitant at first to know that you were a first year, but I'll let you in on a secret. Some of the best Quidditch players started their first year, and ended up winning the cup for their team. They were some of the greats..." He explained, leaning in a bit. "And I don't expect anything less from you." Nolan smiled. "Welcome to the team, and I'll see you at practice, buddy." He smirked and ruffled his hair.
