The Character's Background

1) Give a description of your character's personality. It must be at least two paragraphs long, seven sentences each.

Isaac’s large friend group in Ilvermorny could deceive the passerby into thinking he was an extrovert, but he’s not. He gains energy from being alone, and spending time in the woods among nature or with Fetch. Introvertedness, however, does not mean sociability. Isaac knows how to navigate a social setting, and his blunt confidence has generally been seen as attractive to others. He isn’t afraid to express himself or speak up, and sometimes this can rub people the wrong way.

Isaac is loyal to his friends and protective of his family, but he’s no meathead. His protectiveness is more rational rather than physically confrontational. If he has to fight he’ll fight, but he rather question the logic of those doing stupid things. He isn’t inherently book smart but he does well enough in school to not be struggling with studies. He has been described by others as too serious, but that’s mainly because his humor is either off beat or comes out weirdly.

Supported by his build, Isaac generally lives and enjoys having an active lifestyle. He’s no adrenaline junkie, but if a good challenge is presented, he won’t ignore it. This is why he likes archery; there is a certain precision and skill involved that makes him feel amazing. Killing deer can seem daunting at first, but at this point he’s somewhat desensitized to animal cadavers and having to skin them, which can also sometimes offput people because they wouldn’t initially know he’s a large game hunter. It’s very difficult to hurt Isaac with words because of his self assuredness. He doesn’t need other people to feel good about himself, he already loves himself enough that the thought of needing others approval seems ridiculous.

2) Write about the history of your character. How did they grow up? Is there an incident that made them the way they are? It must be at least three paragraphs long, seven sentences each.

Kim Chun-hee was a dedicated employee of Infinite Interprises. She was a genuine, hard-working woman who did everything that was asked or expected of her. Because she was such a valuable asset to her company, they promoted her to an Infinite Ambassador - that meant leaving Korea and going to the England branch, where, coincidentally, she met the love of her life.
Brian Johnson had lived in England his whole life. He worked for a London-based corporation, and didn't travel much. His parents were from Korea and he always hoped to visit one day. He wanted to go to his parents' roots, but in a sense, their roots found him. His company made the decision to merge with Infinite Interprises. Through the merger, he met Chun-hee and fell in love with her.

The two married and planned to move back to Korea, but Chun-hee's job had a different course set out for them. The two were transferred to America where they would be living for longer than expected. After a year in the States, the couple became pregnant with their first child Isaac. A few years after him came baby Freya. Only a year later, Taeler came into their world. Haneul was born last, but was loved just as much.

Both Chun-hee and Brian were Muggles, so they were sure in for a treat when they realized their children were gifted with magic. Of course, this "surprise" came with challenges. Isaac grew up on disney movies and identified with a lot of knight type characters. Despite this, from an early age he expressed interest in archery, not swordplay. Brian got him enrolled at about 4 in an archery course, which is where his first magical sign happened at 6. By then he had been much more of an improved archer, and even Brian was getting into it, starting to bond with his son, but he still wouldn’t allow the young one to hunt. Isaac threw a tantrum, resulting in Brian falling in a magically induced sinkhole. In Isaac’s second instance of magic, he got his dead out of there. The incident was so jarring that Isaac ended up getting his wish.
Isaac was the first to go to Ilvermorny, and as the oldest he had to set a good example. While not a straight A student, he got by with above average, and generally peers seemed to respect him. One might even go as far to say that he was popular. When his siblings finally joined him, he did his best to create a good environment for them to migrate into, being the good big brother he was.

At around 13, he decided to up his ability to hunt. As he primarily hunts deers, he convinced his parents to let him buy a foxhound, who he ended up naming Fetch, and trained him rigorously to use all of his energy in strategy to take down the deer. A conscientious hunter, he either sold his meat or took it home to cook, quite proud of some of the takedowns he was able to come up with.

When Isaac was 15, Chun-hee's job moved the family back to London. There, the kids would then attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Chun-hee and Brian had their fair share of struggles in raising witches and wizards, but they truly did their best and never loved them any less for being different. Hogwarts was a change of pace from a very americanized Ilvermorny, but he didn’t dislike it. The only thing that bothered him was the restrictions on the woods. He would’ve liked to have found out what it was to hunt magical creatures. Isaac is about to enter his seventh year at Hogwarts, and is trying to decide a job that can support his hunting hobby rather than having hunting be his job.
