I move to demote User:NotAlwaysPerfect to a regular admin. She's better off staying as an admin, rather than a Bureaucrat - especially S&S's Head. While I understand she's a relatively new Crat, she's been in the team for way longer. I don't believe she has the right attitude when problems arise. Not to mention, she has the belief that Crats can interpret the policies as they wish, not as they're written down, like it's supposed to be. There's team members and regular users alike that have complained of communication issues with said user. These are all serious problems, at least to my understanding. Crats are usually the first people to interact with new users - they can't be that way, especially the Head of S&S. Bureaucrats are supposed to set an example and be the perfect model for the rest of the administration, especially now, when things aren't quite as steady. I just don't think she's right for this position. Please vote. Only members of the Admin Team can vote. The vote will close when all team members have cast their vote either, for, against or abstain.

For Demotion to Admin (+2)

  1. I'm going to make a disclaimer here, because lately, I feel as though I have to. I have nothing against NAP personally. However, I do have a lot of concerns about she's handled her position a bureaucrat, and I don't feel as though she's handled it well. Having worked under her before and talking with those who are currently working under her... NAP does a lot of things without talking with the rest of her department first. While Crats do have some authority to make executive decisions, the rest of team/department should, at the very least, be consulted, and I unfortunately do not see NAP doing that.

  1. I feel I have to put a disclamier as well. I'm sorry NAP, I don't dislike you in and this is not a personal attack in anyway. The things I've seen and heard you've done have upset me and I honestly don't think it's right to keep you as a bcrat. You need better communication skills and consult everyone and not just yourself. You also need to follow the rules, which from what I saw once hasn't been happening and that's a needed thing for a bcrat. You're supposed to be setting an example for everyone and I haven't seen it since you were elected. I'm really sorry. Crosa gene 언제까지나 누가 뭐래도 ~Chase

Against Demotion to Admin (-5)

  1. While I understand that people have complaints of communication issues and not handling certain situations the right way, I think that it's something we're all guilty of. I don't think that a demotion is the best way to handle it. There are always areas that need growth and development, so why not focus on bettering the areas that we think are weak instead of taking a negative action? I know that there are probably many other things that I don't see, but from my view, I see NAP doing a great job as Crat. She works hard, takes initiative, and helps wherever she can. I'm sorry to see that people have a different view from this, but I truly don't think a demotion is what is need right now. You are, and always have been,my dream. I love you more than there are stars in the sky and fish in the sea. 17:41, January 30, 2017 (UTC)
  2. I agree with the above wholeheartedly, I do not think a demotion is the best way. From what I have seen User:NotAlwaysPerfect has been a fantastic Bureaucrat, and an excellent Sorting & Stores Head. Only recently, to my knowledge, has there has not been any sort of action that requires attention. The [1] written related to Shops being proof. Such a big move that affects not just one Department, but the entire Admin Team in the not the greatest reaction. We are constantly having votes for new members, if this were a matter of a user opting to step down I would keep quite. As it seems to me to be something I feel could be discussed further by the team as a whole at perhaps a upcoming meeting I am voting against this demotion. In my opinion this vote was brought forth too abruptly. As I referred to the comments above me I will refer to them again. I believe the user in question (NotAlwaysPerfect) is doing the absolute best one can in the position of Bureaucrat and Department Head. - Dr. Mrs. Delphi von Doom (Hex Me) ಥ_ಥ 01:35, January 31, 2017 (UTC)
  3. I'll keep this short. Nap is extremely active and has been putting in an effort to be the best crat xe can be. Tbh, I can't think of a better S&S head right now because everyone else on the admin team kind of fit their own departments better. I agree with things here and there from what's been stated in "for demotion", but I don't think as a collective any of it warrants a demotion. Mamamoo  is coming back for you~

  5. I'm voting no in this one. Sure, Nap has went through bumps in the road during xer time as a bcrat, but I don't think we should hold up every mistake against xer. Just as xer username says, xe's not always perfect but xe's trying her best. I understand that since most of the admin team has been quite inactive due to real life things. I've given my two cents here and hopefully we'll all resolve this peacefully. "With great power comes great need to take a nap."

Abstaining (4)

  1. I will let you wish as you want to. However, I would at least like to explain myself, if you will let me. I have done stuff in the past, such as the Quidditch World Cup situation, which I deeply regret and I would never do again. It's something that I would say there's almost a "moved away from" vibe, since I've moved departments because I don't believe that was the one which suited me. However, I have not done anything in Sorting that I have not talked to my fellow users about. I don't think there's really anything to do, other than approve and decline for the most part. And, if they don't see it that way, I wouldn't mind hearing something from them on the matter, so that I know it upsets them. It deeply puzzles me, because I haven't heard anything about it. It's hard to fix something, when I didn't know that I was upsetting them (because I was just doing my job as how I saw it). I posted a blog, as an open discussion for the entire community, trying to open up communication for all to have their thoughts on an issue discussed. I don't believe that's poor communication. I was trying to open it up for something not just Sorting & Stores, but for the entirety of the wiki because I figured we could get the community's thoughts and not just the department's. Especially, since we're just four people of the entire group of users here. I'm trying to work on it. I figured that the meeting, if I could get to go to it (and nonetheless I would read the log for it), could help me discuss with not just Sorting & Stores, but the entire Administration on how they would want things to go better. And I really do want to do that. I'm trying to fight my way into being able to be there and I wouldn't do that if I wasn't committed to being a good Crat for the community. - a george a day keeps the doctor away.KayleSig-PetililKayleSig-Lilligant 17:55, January 30, 2017 (UTC)

  3. The thought of having to come up with something to say here's been stressing me out, I figure I should spare myself it. I know NAP's made mistakes but I think we all do, nobody is 100% brilliant. And I know I'm not the best Crat ever either and that's what kind of swayed my vote to the abstinence pile. I'd like to encourage everyone to communicate their issues to me. I don't want to be stuck between friends here. I became a Crat to make the change we want to see in the wiki, and I hope I can do that. TardisIcon laugh hard, run fast,be kind... doctor, i let you go.

Since apparently admins can't vote... I'm adding my two cents here: This is wholly unnecessary, in my view. Nap is one of the best Crats this wiki has seen. I've worked alongside her, and under her, and I've never had any issues. She is one of the hardest-working Crats I've seen-- taking on jobs that aren't her department, when other areas are slacking. To demote her would be to demote an amazing leader. Love sought is good, but giv'n unsought is better. 20:02, January 30, 2017 (UTC)

I felt this was necessary, as did other admins, hence why the forum was opened in the first place. Everyone has their opinions and I respect that, but this is mine. I just don't believe NAP is fit to be a Bureaucrat right now. In the future, I don't doubt xe'll become one of the best Crats DARP had, but as of right now? I just don't think so. I know xe'd do better as an admin for now, getting more experience and being able to work on not just xer team skills, but xer communication skills, too. The latter - I know - has been brought up before, but to my knowledge, nothing was done about it. I simply feel this would be for the best.

I swear, every time I'm away for a few days I come back to more drama. Guys, this is ridiculous. Can we have a bit of stability for a while? What is this even about? A differing of opinions? Who cares if Nap wants to give a bit of policy-related wiggle room. We rarely have fiascos big enough for that to matter anyway. Quite frankly, Nap made a better case, and we should all check ourselves before pointing the finger. 12:37, January 31, 2017 (UTC)

So the general argument against NAP's demotion seems to be that she's trying her best. Unfortunately, we live in the real world, and sometimes people's best just isn't good enough. That's not to say that NAP can't do better with a little more experience and training on how to lead. However, as of right now, I do not believe that xe's best is good enough. I'd also like to point out that this vote is not for xer total removal from the team, but a demotion to Admin so that NAP can learn how to be a more effective crat, and allow us to have another crat who may be more qualified to lead us through this turbulent time on the wiki. If the wiki was more stable... I probably could overlook ninety percent of NAP's mistakes, but as it is, the wiki is not stable, so unfortunately, I can not overlook the mistakes. I realize that we've gone through a lot of elections recently, but we would not be voting anyone new into the team. We would be switching the positions of an Admin and NAP. Again, I do not hate NAP, and I am not doing this because I don't like xer, I'm doing this because I want what's best for the wiki.

Since there are only two members left to vote, and even if those votes went in favor of demotion, it wouldn't bring that side to a majority, taking it to 4-5 in opposition of demotion. . So, can we end this now, or do we still need to wait... You are, and always have been,my dream. I love you more than there are stars in the sky and fish in the sea. 01:38, February 1, 2017 (UTC)

I suppose that would be up to you and Lilly, Lyss. I honestly don't know the answer to that question. Logically, yeah, there's probably no point in keeping the vote up anymore.

It might be helpful to add in the names of the potential replacements in case of demotion. It's difficult to want someone demoted because their best isn't good enough without knowing their replacement's best would be. {{User:Jay Sea/sig}19:14, February 1, 2017 (UTC)

It would be any of the admins, Jay. I was not planning on running, as I don't posses... the finesse to handle a position of crat. I'm blunt, to the point and oftentimes that makes me come off rude and condensending, so I wasn't planning to run, unless someone gave me a very good reason. I'm better off as Lilly' second-in-command. Of course, it probably doesn't matter now.

You could make a list--you may not be the only uninterested one, or--since I doubt you would make a forum like this unless you thought there was a significant chance of a demotion passing, just do the promotion vote at the same time. Also, personally--though I'm not sure if anyone appreciates suggestions at this point--it would be nice if regular users could vote too. 21:19, February 1, 2017 (UTC)
