Teagan is wearing ripped black jeans, white converse, a black tank top and her dad's gigantic Hufflepuff windbreaker over it. Her hair is half down, with two little buns on top of her head. She's currently munching down a sandwich as she wanders through the shop, exploring while her dad and sister find what they need for school.

Because Ryleigh stumbled into her, Teagan's sandwich hit the floor with a thump. She looked scandalized, and was quick to pick it up, blowing it, thinking it'd do away with any potential dirt... which it didn't have. "Five second rule," she mumbles to herself, kind of as a reassurance that it's ok, before taking another bite. Tastes just the same. It's only after she swallowed it that she spins around, eyes narrowed, ready to have at it at the person that caused the little incident to begin with. "Oi! What wer-" Cutting herself off, she frowns. Is this girl crying? "Ermm... Teagan?"

She had come into the shop to look for a book to help her with her English, she had only been learning for about two years now and she was still struggling with some of it. She heard that this would be a good place, as some of the books could even talk. She was just browsing, trying to find one that would fit her needs.
She brushed into the store, dark sunglasses covering her eyes, with her chin raised up and a small smirk resting on her lips. She was dressed in tight, black jeans and black heeled boots, a loose, white, crop top that showed off her smooth stomach and a jacket thrown over it though obviously unzipped. She had a bag hanging low off her shoulder and, other than the camera, it was empty but Charlie was hoping to fill it up with a book or two. Having been taught English since she was seven, she was fluent, save for an accent, and wanted more of a leisure book. She hadn't met any of the exchange students but she'd seen some from a distant and picked out Misun instantly. Her blue eyes, though hidden by the glasses, focussed on the girl briefly, pulling the camera out of the bag slowly to take a shot, not caring if she was caught, before beginning to move through the books.

She heard someone come in the store and looked over to see Charlotte, she didn't look for long though and turned her attention back to looking for books. When she did find one she stood up and went to go pay for it, though she noticed Charlotte walking around the bookstore and decided to go chat. "You're an exchange student, right? I think I've seen you at the hotel,"
Her head automatically turned at the voice and her smirk grew bigger. The other girl's accent was obvious but Charlie wasn't quite sure where to put it, though Charlie wasn't going to concede to not knowing and ask. She'd figure it out instead. "That's right," she said, her words almost a purr, a hand raising up to slide off the sunglasses and dropped both that and the camera back into her bag. "I've seen you there myself with some of the others, are they worth speaking to?" She asked, her tone a drawl, as she withdrew a book from the shelf to scan her eyes over.

"Yeah, I'm an exchange student too," She said with a happy smile. "They're okay, I haven't gotten to know them that well yet but I hope to at least know someone soon." She said, a little hopeful but at the same time, Charlotte could see that Mi Sun wasn't that ecstatic about making friends.
She picked up on it easily, and though her expression didn't change, her eyes flicked back to Mi Sun briefly before back to the book, "you'll be forced to with that whole buddy system," she noted, though she suddenly sounded disinterested and she slid the book back into the shelf, "bound to get to know someone when you're forced to be around them for a whole term."
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 06:53, April 11, 2018 (UTC)
She chuckled a little at Charlotte's statement with a shrug, "Well you do have a point, I hope my buddy is nice. I don't want to get stuck with someone mean," She said. Holding her book a little tighter. "So where are you from?" She questioned, as she couldn't exactly pinpoint it just from hearing her accent.
"The city of love. Lucky me, right?" She shot the other girl a wink. "I'd say I prefer London over it, but...can't say it's converted me yet," she confessed, shooting a look to the door. Of course, never in a million years will Charlie move back to Paris, no matter how much she adored it, "though, the weather's a lot better than what I expected, though...guess I should wait until winter arrives. Suppose it's polite to ask you, so...where are you from? I kind of feel like I'm being that type of person with that question, you know? Though I guess it'd be standard for an exchange student. Should I expect to be asked it twenty thousand times?"
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 14:16, April 11, 2018 (UTC)
"Oh I've never been to Paris, but I do hope to maybe go one day... Oh! I'm from South Korea," She said with a smile. "And I guess a lot of people are going to be asking us where we're from, especially if they know we're exchange students and since you know... I don't exactly look like a Brit,"
"That's a bit stupid...well, in my opinion, that being white makes you automatically accepted as a pommy," she hummed before shrugging, "but not really my place, I guess. South Korea, huh? Can't say I've been there either, or know much about it. Though, I've never been outside of France save for now."

“I guess that did sound a little racist when I said it, excuse my rudeness,” she apologized and bowed slightly, before standing straight again. “I’ve only been to Japan, I’ve never been outside of the Asian continent... I’d love to explore the world someday, maybe even live in America for awhile...”
"Hm?" She asked, raising an eyebrow as she watched her, before smiling apologetically, "no...no, other way round. You're not the racist one. Forget it, though, I'm not making sense," she said with a dismissive wave of her hand, "though I can relate. I'd love to travel, maybe not America though. As much as I hate myself for it, I'm a lover for Europe. I'll go through here first, then maybe through Asia."
She turned her head to let Mi Sun see her face, the quirk of her eyebrow and the mischievous glint in her eyes. "I'd hope not. I'd feel unoriginal and cliche otherwise," she said with a wink, "but what am I like? I'm curious."

"Um, I'm not too sure how to explain you... But you have this air of like, 'I don't care' attitude. Almost like you could care less if someone were to talk to you or not?" She explained her best, thinking for a moment. "Kind of like those cool, popular girls in the American Movies."
She was silent at the description, her fingers trailing over the spines of the books, before laughing, short and sweet. "Suppose you're right," she said, "but...I think I do care. it's nice having company, no matter how much you deny it." Of course this perspective came from the days where she had no company, save for her father. She would rather be surrounded by bigots and ignorance than return to life of solitude. "But you're right, though I've always wanted to be those girls in those French movies, you know? Maybe I'm just nationalistic."

Mi Sun just nodded a little at that. "I guess it just takes someone looking in from the outside to kind of give us a refresher," She said before jumping a little. "Oh! I haven't even told you my name, I'm sorry. It's Mi Sun Jeong," She said and bowed a little.
She watched her with a tilt of her head. "That's a cultural thing, isn't it?" She asked, "the bowing...in France we kiss each other on the cheeks as a greeting but...I don't think pommies are too into it," she said, making a face. "Oh, Charlotte Louise De Villiers, by the way, nearly forgot," she said with a grin, "but I prefer just Charlie."
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 03:11, April 12, 2018 (UTC)
"Oh yes, it is a cultural thing. I'm sorry if It's a little strange to you, it's just such a habit for me." She said as she stood up straight. "Kissing each other? Isn't that an invasion of privacy?" She questioned, but in no way was trying to be rude.
"No, it's fine, just not use to it and...as you said, it's a cultural thing, a form of greeting," she said with a shrug, "to some people, it is, but more so the foreigners. To us...it's as normal as saying hello. Hell, I was scolded when I was a kid if I didn't do it. Of course there are some who prefer to do it on the lips," she said, her lips pulling into a grin, "most of the time I couldn't complain."
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 03:20, April 12, 2018 (UTC)
Mi Sun blushed ever so slightly at that, it seemed that she was a little shy when it came to intimacy and affection. "It seems like you're no stranger to displays of public affection, have you kissed a lot of boys on the lips?" She asked,
"I've kissed a lot more of boys than lips," she said with a snicker, "but yes, I suppose I have, boys...girls...I don't care," she said with a shrug before looking over at the other girl. "I'm guessing you haven't?"
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 03:30, April 12, 2018 (UTC)
She shook her head at that, "Oh no. I'm not going to kiss anyone until I'm married," She said. "Besides, my parents have planned out my marriage already with a boy from my town. He's very nice and sweet," She said with a small smile.
She was silent for a moment. Personally, she was never a fan of arranged marriages but...she shouldn't say it. "You do you, I suppose," she said with a shrug, "personally, I want to date a lot of people before settling with someone. How else can I be sure they're the one, you know?"
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 03:43, April 12, 2018 (UTC)
"But what if you end up settling with someone who isn't right for you?" She questioned curiously. "I understand that arranged marriages aren't popular everywhere in the world, but I also hear that divorce rates are very high in the world..."
"That's why I want to date a lot of people before I do," she said with a grin, "make sure I know exactly who's out there and if the person is right for me and who's to say arranged marriages are any better? There's no one out there who knows yourself better than you do, really. Still a chance for your parents to have chosen the wrong person. And divorce rates...I don't think they're a bad thing. I'd rather leave a bad situation than stay in it for the sake of keeping up an appearances. To be honest, I don't even know if I want to get married in my life."
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 04:05, April 12, 2018 (UTC)
She just nodded a little as Charlotte spoke, she found it interesting that someone could have such a different outlook on life than herself. "I'm not sure that arranged marriages are any better. But I trust my parents to choose a good partner for me, they've lived life and have more wisdom then I do." She said with a small shrug, "I just don't want to ruin my life. I only have one,"
"Better to ruin your life yourself than have someone else do it," she said carefully before shrugging. "Though, I guess then you have someone to blame," she said with a smirk as the thought came to her, "so...what you in here for? This place could do with a make over, it's so...cramped."
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 04:12, April 12, 2018 (UTC)
She didn't disagree with Charlotte, because she did have a point. "Well I'm in here to get a book on speaking English. I want to try and lessen my accent by the time I get to Hogwarts... I know that a lot of the students probably haven't even met a Korean girl before, let alone heard one talk. I just don't want to be made fun of,"
"Is Hogwarts known for being a bunch of assholes?" She asked with a hum, "accents not that bad, I can still understand you and English isn't even my first or second language. I'm sure you won't be made fun of, the teachers...the buddy...will probably help you if they do, though."
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 04:25, April 12, 2018 (UTC)
"I hope so, I've heard from a lot of others that Hogwarts is almost like a preppy school with a lot of cliques... I just don't want to be an outcast," She said with a small shrug, "How many langauges do you know?" She questioned, picking up on the mention of English not being her primary top two.
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 04:51, April 12, 2018 (UTC)
"I know Korean, Japanese and English." She said with a smile. "I'm guessing that English was really hard to learn for you too? I don't like how strict the language is, everything has to be pronounced a certain way. Reading it is even more difficult!"
"I...actually didn't find it too difficult," she said with a shrug, "though I was a child when I learnt it and children tend to learn languages better than adults do. But English and French aren't...too different compared to English and Korean."
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 22:49, April 12, 2018 (UTC)
"I only started to learn English two years ago, so I guess you do have a point with kids being able to learn languages easier." She said and thought for a moment. "English I think in and of itself is a difficult language, because it takes a lot of words from other languages and makes it it's own."
"If that doesn't say something, I don't know what does," she said with a snicker, "the worst part is the grammar. The fact that you can say 'that that' and still make sense sometimes bother me, if I'm being honest."
"Sometimes I wish it wasn't such a popular language and wasn't killing every other language," she said with a sigh, "of course, I can't complain too badly, France isn't innocent in that department either. Ha. At least it sounds better than English."
She grinned. "True," she said, "it certainly is a language to use in bed, hey?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows before gesturing to her, "come on, I'll try and help you find whatever books you need. Not like I have anything better to do."
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 00:44, April 13, 2018 (UTC)
She couldn't help but blush a little at the statement of using the language in bed, and she just put her hands up to her cheeks to try and hide her blush. "O-Oh, thank you. I'm not looking for anything too specific," She informed Charlotte
"Even better," she said with a click of her tongue, "just your average textbook." She began to move quickly now, her destination in mind now, and headed towards the general area she suspected the books to be. "How many do you want?"
"Fair, only a week and a bit till Hogwarts, though," she said before flicking through the textbooks. She'd brushed up on English in the past few months so she wasn't a stranger to the books out there and chose the one that she found the most useful and tossed it in the direction of Mi Sun. "What about this one?"
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 01:18, April 13, 2018 (UTC)
She jumped a little when the book was tossed to her, and she tried to catch it but it fell through her hands and hit the floor. Mi Sun shyly picked up the book and made sure it wasn't damaged. "I think this should do," She told Charlotte as she looked over it. "It seems simple enough for me,"
She bit back a laugh as she watched the book hit the floor. She found it kind of amusing doing a stunt like that, felt it gave something away about the person if they were to catch it. It meant that they were on guard, not at ease. Wasn't a bad thing of course but Charlie found it curious. "There we go, easier than expected," she said.
"I could see it, and meh, who cares if you live up to anyone's name," she said, blowing a strand of hair out of her face, "plus, there are a lot of shitty Gryffindors out there. You'd be a lot better than them."
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 02:36, April 13, 2018 (UTC)
She just chuckled a little at that, "It's really that noticeable huh?" She questioned a little sheepishly. "Well yeah, I mean Hufflepuff is great but I hear that... You know, all the great people come from Gryffindor.."
"I bet it's people from Gryffindor saying that," she said with a snicker, "nah, I reckon a bunch comes from each of them. I mean, you have the smart house, Ravenclaw, surely something is going to come from them and Slytherin...well, ambition always leads you somewhere."
"Someone has to clean up the messes the rest of the houses leave," she joked, "but...Newt Scamander was Hufflepuff, wasn't he? He's pretty great. In my opinion anyway. I can't really pick out anyone specific for any of the houses save for Harry Potter maybe," she said with a grin, "I"m not use to these houses. Still. Curious to see what I get."
"Everyone wants to be somebody, but...always different interpretations of it. It's definitely a fine belief wanting to make a difference in the world. I don't, actually, I don't want to change it. Capture it maybe, but not change it. Well...except the extremely obvious parts. But...human's will always be human and a lot of it is human errors and problems so...what can you do?"
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 03:20, April 13, 2018 (UTC)
"I guess so, but I feel like if people just give up on humanity then people will give up on themselves as well. I mean, if someone doesn't have another person believing in them than they have no drive to believe in themselves." She said with a small pout.
"Exactly," she said, "I find it so interesting. Humanity. Love to crack them apart, you know? Not in the...traumatizing sense, I'm not that bad," she said, crinkling her nose, "but the see what makes them click and if everyone was perfect and good and non corruptible. I feel like the world would be kind of boring."
- “The World is so big...” Message Me - 03:32, April 13, 2018 (UTC)
"Yeah exactly! I'd like to see how people work too, I think that humans are so interesting..." She said and got lost in thought for a moment. "I mean, no other living organism is like humans. And how blissfully they can live in a world where so many things are hidden from them."

She just nodded a little at that, before the store owner asked if they were going to buy anything. "Oh! I totally forgot about my book, silly me," Mi Sun said a little shyly, going up to the counter to pay for it. "It was nice meeting you Charlie," She said with a smile.
Jenelle nodded, noting the American accent. She had worked with quite a few Americans (and they visited from time to time, especially during the Quidditch Cup when it came around every few years or so) during her stay in the IMC. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Anastasia. You're from America, no? What are bookstores like there, then?"
OOC: Bookstores are...so scrambled here. You will find anything in a bookstore here.

Kiyomi thumbed through a book intently. Wasn't here, either. How did Hogwarts ever progress with these low level textbooks never being updated? She sighed impatiently and returned it. And people wondered why they were floundering on all these terrorist attacks. The future of magic was screwed in the UK.
Kiyomi's grey eyes were indiscriminately clear cut as they locked on Kamille. The bump was of little concern to her. She merely had to displace into a better footing to avoid falling. Compared to a Bludger, these meetings bruised nothing except potentially her ego. "No bother," she replied, the smile unsynced with the rest of her face. "I'd be more worried about the other patrons. That was a loud apology."
"JNQT," she responded as she scanned the index. "Leaves me more free time than I expected. There aren't many international Quidditch events, so I join other teams during the off season." She looked up at last after putting the book away. Still wasn't what she was looking for. "I take it you're a Quidditch fan?"
Kiyomi laughed. A long, throat burning, genuine one. She hadn't done that in some time. The tension eased out of her face. "You're honest. I like that." She pulled out another book to skim through. "To tell you the truth? I'm doing a full course review on magic imbued parchment. Been trying to give my niece a headstart for school."
She shook her head. "She's barely eight." Kaede had mentioned plans of relocating to Britain, which made her more anxious than she'd like to admit. Hogwarts was no suitable replacement compared to the likes of Mahoutokoro. Was she biased? Naturally. But she was positive any surveys done would only support her opinion. "How do they find anything here?" she asked out loud, a frown making waves on her face.
"Most of the workers here were Muggle-born," Kiyomi added a slight pressure on the past tense. "The terrorist attacks might have scared them into moving, or worse." She shook a few hairs out of her eyes. "That's a guess. Most of the shops I've visited have been suddenly vacated and understaffed, like this one."
"Humans." Kiyomi made a vague hand gesture, not anything modern. It was simple and thoughtless, yet the air reacted by skittering down book spines. "My old teachers used to tell me... Lack of learning is a pity, unlearning something is an atrocity."
"Kiyomi." She turned to check another shelf, her eye falling far from the target and alerting her to the camera pressed against a nearby window. "F-ck," she swore. "I'm going to have to cut this conversation short. See you around, Kamille." A shimmer of light expanded above her head and sealed her physical image from prying eyes. Invisible, Kiyomi pocketed her wand and departed from the bookshop.
Dunstan was on his way home from work, but had decided to stop here to pick a couple new books. Though he had a library to satisfy his insatiable need to read, he'd gone through pretty much all those he had, and then some.
Rey was wandering through the aisles, looking at the books, a high-pitched giggle coming as she read a few of the titles on the spines. She was in the same aisle as Dunstan, trying to reach up to grab a book on the top shelf out of curiousity, being way too short. Small tears begun to roll down her cheeks in frustration as she continued to try and jump for the book.
A high-pitched giggle draws his attention from the books he's currently looking at. Seeing a little girl, he feels himself begin to smile. He's always had a soft spot for children. Her change in demeanor provokes one in him, and he quickly approaches her. "Hey, hey, it's alright," he says softly. He points at a book, the one he assumes is the one she wants. "Is this one the one you want?"
He grins and plucks the book off the shelf. He crouches, so he's at her level, and studies the book for a moment before he passes it to her. There's a wolf on the cover, with a full moon in the background. It's a Hogwarts book, he recognizes, delving into the topic of werewolves. "Werewolves, huh? That's interesting," he remarks, his tone not unkind. "You like them?"
She shook her head, taking the book happily. "I am one." Rey responded, opening the book and flopping down on the ground, beginning to try to read it, slowly, still too young to understand the majority of the words.
That had been a surprise for him. His eyebrows knit together, and he scans her body for any scars or bruising that could indicate her being a werewolf. "You know, I think that book is a little too advanced for you, miss," he prompts, softly, as to avoid potentially irritating or frustrating the little girl. "How about we find a better one for you?"
She nodded quickly, "Okay!" Rey tilted her head before she rolled up her sleeve to her shoulder, showing the white-scarred wolf bite to Dunstan. The bite reached from her shoulder to the crook of her neck before she hid it again, reaching her hand towards Dunstan. "Better book!"
Oh. He tries not to frown as he stands up, instead aiming to adopt a cheerful one as he extends a hand towards her. It was to both put the book away and guide her towards a kid-intended aisle. "So, what's your name? I can't go around calling you Miss Werewolf, can I?" he says lightly, chuckling.
This kid is adorable, he has to admit. With a kind smile on his face, he leads her down a couple aisles. "I'm Dunstan le Fey, but you can just call me Dunstan," he introduces himself. He's silent for a little bit, while he searches for the right book, until he finds it; a kid-appropriate book on werewolves. One that doesn't demonize them. He offers it to her. "There you go! That's a better book for you - there's a lot of drawings and pictures. You'll like it," he promises. He pauses, before opening his mouth again. "So, Reyna, where are your parents?" he inquires. It's strange that no adult has stepped forward for her or called her name.
She shrugged. "Don't know. They didn't want me. I live at Lil Bundles." She explained before taking the book happily and sitting down on the ground to start reading the book. "Thank you!" Rey said, not looking up from her book.
His heart broke by just hearing the words Reyna uttered. It also bothered him, because he was willing to bet they abandoned him after she was turned into a werewolf - it seemed such an act was becoming increasingly common. Dunstan frowns, and sits across from her, making sure to avoid blocking access down the aisle. "And you're living a good life at Lil Bundles?" he asks, carefully. "Are you happy there?"
"Just... wondering," Dunstan answers, with a feeble shrug to accompany it. "I'm just wondering if Lil Bundles is taking care of all its kids," he explains. He has a feeling he's just caused her to be slightly hopeful, and to say it doesn't make him feel worse would be a lie. Such a young kid living such a bad life. Reyna reminds him of himself - of how he lost his own parents, of how he could only rely on Sabrina and himself. Admittedly he was older when it happened, but he was orphaned nonetheless. "Why do you say it's busy?"
"Do you think it'd be better if I visited?" he asks. Maybe he should've not asked as much, given how tight his schedule always is, but it pains him to know that children at Lil Bundles feel negatively about their home and life. Especially such a little girl, who can't be above four years old. "Would it make you happy?"
His eyes widen, clearly panicky as Reyna situates herself in his lap. Shit, shit, shit. Was she... going to fall asleep on him? What was going on? "Dunstan," he corrects gingerly, awkwardly dropping his hands to his side. "Are you okay, Reyna?"
His heart is hammering quicker and quicker. What is he supposed to say? This isn't his kid. The last thing he needs are allegations of kidnapping a child. "Erm... yeah, sure," he says, a little nervously. "Would it be better if I took you to Lil Bundles again?"
He lifts his hands, as a show of surrender. "Hey, it's alright, darling. Don't worry, don't worry. Just take a nap, alright? Get some rest," he whispers, but is genuinely concerned. Why is she so scared of going back?
She calmed slowly, relaxing into Dunstan and drifting off to sleep, nuzzling into his chest with a soft relaxed breath. "Why you call me darling?" Rey's voice was tired, but her eyes were closed tightly. "D-Daddy..." Rey yawned, before she relaxed in his lap, completely conked out.
Well, if he didn't have a heart attack earlier, he sure did now. He shouldn't have called her darling. Did he get her hopes up? Because it seemed that way. She called me daddy, he silently panics. Unsure of what else to do, he carefully stands up, holding her close to his chest. He's cautious not to jostle her as he moves, hoping she stays awake at least until they get to Lil Bundles.
He tenses when he feels her move, not relaxing again or continuing his journey out the store until she's asleep again. He sighs in relief and continues, until he's out the store and on his way to the orphanage.

They were in town after a trip to Zimbabwe, and Constanza was already bored. Thinking about school and books was so not on her summer list of things to do. But it was kind of a pit stop on their way to Iceland... so it made sense. "Ugh, school books," she muttered as she wrinkled her nose at them.
