Upon boarding the train, he ventured through the Gryffindor compartment to find his roommate. After what felt to be a successful interaction, Ignaci had this adrenaline rush of excitement, shuffling through the carriages to get to where he knew his girlfriend would be. For a moment, he forgot about what was to come, but that moment was incredibly brief as the weight hit him the moment he slid the fogged glass door open. "Hey!" He presses a kiss to her forehead before swinging his things overhead and sitting down across from her. He leans forward on the seat and sits near the edge, bringing their knees close together. "How are you doing? Excited?" he asks, regaining his composure and shuffling to pull the envelopes out of his pocket. They have graduated and are marching on towards what could be the last summer of their lives. It's a bit dramatic to imagine that they will never get a summer again. Of course they will live through another summer, but will they be able to experience it the same way? He is trying not to imagine it and reduce it down to details that he isn't quite sure of yet. Still he glows with excitement as he grins at her, messing with his own hair with one hand as he nervously taps the envelopes against his leg with the other.

Hana looks up from the two envelopes in her hand once Ignaci arrives at their compartment. She has been tracing the outline of the letter inside as if she might be able to figure out the results by touch alone, and has been itching to open both since they arrived at her dormitory. She is actually rather confident in her application, but there is still an inkling of anxiety that nags at the back of her mind. She was pretty confident about Head Girl, and look where that got her. "Hello, Naci." she says as he kisses the top of her head. She waits for him to sit down to look at him clearly and really focus on his face. Looking at him calms her nerves, but then her eyes drop down to the envelopes in his hand and she is suddenly doubly anxious for both of them. "I'm fine." she says. Honestly, there is a very small part of her that hopes she is rejected. Explaining this to her mother is not something she wants to do either. "How are you? Who did you meet?"

Ignaci can tell she's nervous (and he's nervous too), but he doesn't want to stress her out more by pushing for her to admit it. He glances down at the envelopes in her hand too and smiles a bit more as he switches his gaze again. "My roommate, Fionn! I wanted to ensure we exchanged Witchagrams. He's a bit weird about technology, so I had never pushed him about it..." He has always found Fionn to be quite weird, but he got used to it over the several months they spent sharing a dormitory. Still, he is rather odd and Ignaci doesn't necessarily understand his interests or many of his quirks, but he appreciates them as his. "I wanted to be able to keep up with him." He shrugs. It hadn't occurred to him to do it until later on after he had moved his things out of his dormitory. He hadn't been sure if Fionn would have wanted to, but he decided it was better to just pester him about it and see. "And his little romance with Macmillan. Damn, I forgot to mention it..." He seems in deep thought as he reflects on all of the moments when he had wanted to, but there was always someone else around and he wasn't going to potentially embarrass him by doing it in front of others. As confident and open as he is socially, he is well aware that others are not.

Hana has encountered Fionn just once and the other boy simply stared at her and said nothing, so her opinion of him isn't exactly positive, but it's definitely not negative. There are worse boys at Hogwarts. "Macmillan?" She tries to put a face to the name and remembers the four children from some function she attended years ago. Aside from that, she's seen the boy in the common room often, always on his own by the window as if he's waiting for something. "Oh, the Greek minister's kids. I know them." She is a bit distracted for obvious reasons, her mind always drifting back to the two letters that sit on her lap. "You can probably message him about it."

Ignaci wasn't aware that Demi had more siblings than the sister he catches her with in the common room. This revelation is not necessarily groundbreaking, but he does raise his eyebrows a little bit and nod to show this is new information to him. "Maybe," he tells her. He isn't convinced that he should because Fionn seems so...private and he sort of just wants to wait until it comes up. He will probably find himself bored someday and do it on a whim, but not anytime soon. "They would be cute. Love is so wonderful, Han." He grins and a hand falls to the side of his face, eyes rolling in disbelief at how amazing it all is. Now that he has been blessed with romantic love, he has certainly become far more interested in ensuring everyone else is blessed with it too. He sighs before straightening up and bringing the envelopes into both hands. "We should probably get to these. How should we do this?"

Hana rolls her eyes affectionately. "Yes, love is so wonderful." Sometimes Hana has trouble believing that she ended up with such a romantic, but at the same time the idea of her being with anyone else is simply preposterous to her at this point. She knows she is still young, but she is rather convinced that Ignaci is her soulmate, and Hana knows she is typically right. She glances down at the envelopes again then looks back up at Ignaci, then smiles slightly at the thought that she has gone from looking at her future to looking at... well, her future. "Let's just... open them at the same time?" she asks, "Together?"

He's frowning a bit before she starts to tilt her head up towards him again and he smiles before he thinks she can see. He's a bit nervous, but her smile eases him up some. "Yeah. Together," he responds though he can't help but notice that he has more and he's a slower reader. Ignaci had known this all through his academic life, starting out as just a little child sitting through Catholic school in Andorra, but studying with her made this more apparent. Maybe he can just rip them open faster. "Let's do this," he adds, slipping further off of the seat and briefly rubbing her knee before starting to rip his envelopes open.

Hana slowly opens the envelope from the program she is less interested in. She is rather certain that she would be accepted into that one and it was more of a safety net than anything, but in general she is hoping for some sort of scholarship so that she can build a stronger case when the time comes for her to bring this up with her parents. Her eyes move from the letterhead to the greeting down to the words you have been accepted and she lets out a sigh of relief. A smile does not come to her face mostly because she is so good at schooling her expressions into something neutral. She foregoes reading the rest of the letter, setting it down beside her. She can get back to it later, but for now... She tears open the second letter and already, in her hands, it feels heavy and she takes that as a good sign. Before she can read the letter, she sees the accompanying pamphlet and her heartbeat begins to race so she scrambles to open the letter itself just to confirm her suspicions. We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected out of thousands of applicants... This time, she cannot help the slight smile, and she quickly looks up to check on Ignaci to see how he is doing.

Not as thoughtful, he doesn't open them in any particular order except how he had shoved them into his pocket earlier. He opens the first one for some school based out of Romania, which he is fairly interested in getting into. He knows a couple of Durmstrang students there and is sure a few of the people in his year group will be going there too, but that sort of serves as a negative. We regret to inform you... Ignaci frowns and is heart stirs a little in his chest. His hands are a bit numb, but he was expecting this and he pushes the envelope and its contents to the side. He can't stomach staring at it. The next envelope is from Norway, which was a bit of a stretch and he feels better just getting it over with considering he couldn't get into Romania's program either. We regret... Ignaci tosses it aside and glances up to see how Hana is doing. She's still ripping into her second one, so he focuses on his own. He knows he would not be good at getting excited for her until he knows everything for sure. Another program in Egypt: We reg... Another program in Portugal, which he had been an apprentice for over the previous summer: You have been accepted pending... He frowns and leans forward to prop his elbow on his knee, pushing his face up with his hand as he continues to read. They want to wait to see his NEWTs. His scores from his classes during his sixth term weren't enough to prove that they would be good, which he understands. He sets it aside and opens the last one based out of South Korea. It had the lowest requirements for admission, so if he doesn't get this one, then he will surely riot. It does feel a bit sturdier and sure enough the letter reads: We are pleased to inform you... Ignaci stares in disbelief, tears starting to tug at his eyes as he can't help but read the whole thing.

By the time she has finished opening her second letter, Ignaci is on his fourth and her eyes slowly fall to the pile of letters in the corner and she barely makes out the words we regret... on the top ones and realizes what this pile is. He sets the one he is reading aside and she feels her heart drop. Hana silently says a quick prayer and true enough she begins to see tears forming in his eyes and she lets herself smile. Thank Bathala. "How are you?" she asks, trying to steady her breath, but she is buzzing with excitement to hear what she assumes is good news.

Ignaci turns up towards her, eyes full of tears that threaten to spill over, but he smiles at the sight of her. He wants to continue crying, but he sniffs in and blinks to get the tears to go away. "Amazing," he answers quietly, briefly averting his gaze towards the letter again to finish reading it. "I'm doing great," he repeats, voice a bit stronger this time as he has time to get the cloudiness out of his throat. "I got into one! And a half. Korea or Portugal." Once he's done explaining (though it's brief for the benefit of both of them), he grins and claps his hands together, leaning forward eagerly. "How are you? Did you get any scholarships?" Ignaci is not so stupid and he assumes the people running these programs aren't either. She got in or he will send a letter to them both.

Hana is thrilled to hear that Ignaci is doing great; she always had full faith in him and to see him so close to his dreams warms her heart immensely. "I knew you could do it," she tells him. Hana is not really one for crying, but she is so overjoyed that she has to make a conscious effort to keep from tears forming her eyes. She assumes that the 'and a half' comment means that the other one has him on their waitlist or is awaiting further details. She decides not to press on it first; fussing about how to go about this process would only ruin the moment. "I remember reading about both." she says, of course having researched these schools as well when Ignaci was applying. Of course it is worth knowing these things about someone she loves so much. "Both are really good options. I'm sure you're going to thrive in whichever one you end up in." Hana smiles, picturing Ignaci at a reserve akin to the one they visited in Romania. "I got a scholarship to the one in Taiwan." she says, sounding amused at his unwavering belief in her. "The other one is the one I want more. The one based in Spain. I will probably have to discuss this with my parents." Having these options suddenly become so tangible has made her more determined to fight for them. Surely her father, at least, will see reason.

Ignaci's stomach fills with more butterflies for her than it did for himself and a hand reaches out to rest on her knee. "Congratulations, Han. You really deserve it," he says, giving her a cheesy grin before leaning in for a brief celebratory kiss. He falls into his seat again and stares at her with love and admiration filling his eyes. "You really do. I knew you could do it too. I knew you would." He continues to grin even as his face starts to hurt. His hands fall over his face and he drags them down dramatically in his overwhelmed state. Something about it seems to jog the realization that she might be studying in Spain. "Spain! You will be so close. If I can get accepted to the program in Portugal, then it would be easier for us to visit each other... We would figure it out, but that would be nice." He's obviously proud and is glad she was able to get into the program simply because it's a rigorous one and she deserves it, but it helps also that it's so close to his home and where he might study.

In truth, as much as Hana did want the one in Spain more, once she hears that it is the one in Portugal where Ignaci's application is still pending, Taiwan begins to seem like a more appealing option. She doesn't voice any of these thoughts, though. Instead, she decides that she will come to real decision after going over both options with her parents. Besides, she might really have to end up going to the one in Taiwan anyway if her mother refuses to pay for her tuition. Hana knows, though, deep down, her mother loves her too much to be that extreme. Even if Hazelle did resort to such a thing, Valentin would never allow it. "We will figure it out." she insists, "I'd find a way to visit you regardless of how hard it is." She is certain. "I love you. I'm so proud of you."

Admittedly, he has been more concerned than she seems to be. There is no question of faith, but instead just a general worry about when they would be able to see each other and if they will be too miserable apart to be able to remain metaphorically together. On nights when it is harder to get himself to sleep, he is often worrying about it though he has tried to remain confident during the light hours. It's often a fleeting thought and Hana's reassurance goes a long way in convincing him. "I love you. I'm so proud of you too. I can't wait to brag to my family about how talented my girlfriend is," he says, lips pulling up in a small smirk before he falls into another gushy state. He sighs and stares at the compartment's ceiling. "Remember the surprise visit to Manila? We were just friends, but being there by your side meant everything to me. If I was willing to do that then, I would do anything to figure out how to do it now." Ignaci pauses, reabsorbing the memory of that night. It reminds him how ridiculous it is to be so worried about the world splitting them apart. He loves her so much and knows she loves him in return. That can't be ripped apart over something as ridiculous as an education program. "Whatever happens, we will survive it."

"We will." she agrees, sounding awfully sure of themselves. It is easy for Hana to be so certain because she loves her boyfriend too much to consider any alternative. Besides, Hana has always been good at finding ways to make things work. "I am so excited for you." she says, the affection in her voice extremely evident. "You really do deserve it. And now you're going to be able to study dragons!" The idea of Ignaci being surrounded by something he is so passionate about thrills her. "I cannot wait to hear your stories about everything you've learned and encountered. You're going to be amazing. You are amazing."

He basks in this for a long moment, but before doing so, he is quick to tell her: "You are amazing, Han." Ignaci sits in his silence with a simple smile on his face, feeling the affection settle in his soul. "Thank you for being so supportive. It means the world to me. You mean the world to me." He gives her a kind smile, appearing noticeably more vulnerable. He is always vulnerable around her, but it is rare that he appears so quiet. "I'm excited to see where we go and what we do. Imagine all of the cool spells you're about to invent..." He seems in awe and he is genuinely fascinated by this process and the fact that Hana is capable of doing such complicated spellwork. Ignaci is only partially aware that other people can do this too and it's not just her.

Hana takes the pile of letters beside him and positions them next to her before taking her spot next to Ignaci. She takes his hand into hers and leans on his shoulder, very pleased with this beautiful start to the future ahead of them. "When does your program start?" she asks, already figuring out in her head how often she should visit Andorra. Her father likes Ignaci enough based on what she's told him about her boyfriend, and her mother will already be mad about the whole spellmaking program that Hana does not see how she will be able to piss her off more. It is rather uncharacteristic of her to care so little, but she is getting ahead of herself with the spellmaking program. Getting in has really confirmed her talent and given her a new sense of confidence. There is no way that she could just be a princess forever. Surely her mother knows better than that. "We will have to visit each other often before then."

Ignaci twists to kiss the top of her head before leaning his down on top of hers. "I can come down to Manila for our anniversary and then maybe again in August...but the program in Portugal starts in September and the Korean one starts in August. It just depends," he explains. At the very least, they will have to meet up for their anniversary. He can definitely afford the portkey for it. It's just a matter of if he can afford a second one later into the summer. He will have to try to get a job at the ski resort in Andorra to start saving... It's all a bit overwhelming, but he doesn't have to think about that right now. He's with Hana now and he would rather enjoy their time together than worry about when they will be together again.

"If my parents agree to the program in Spain, I can probably start settling in there by August. It starts in September." she tells him. The idea of being so much closer to Ignaci is already exciting her. "But even before that, I will probably be allowed to visit you often, anyway." It is not as difficult for Hana to procure a portkey, so it only makes sense to her for her to be the one that is going to him. "Besides, I still need to meet your avia's cats." Hana smiles at the thought. "Maybe I can bring Squash with me." She isn't sure how she will take a portkey with the kneazle, but if ever, she has the means to find another way to get to Andorra with Squash regardless.

"Hopefully they do," he answers in regards to her parents approving of the program. Hana deserves to go to that program and she wants to. If they are reasonable, then they would understand. If not, then it would really concern him. He is neutral on the issue of her parents, but it could change. Ignaci frowns a little as he thinks about it. "You should come. It will be warmer too." It won't be warm to Hana, but at least she won't freeze. "My family will be excited. They have wanted to meet you for a while." Ignaci brags about her a lot and it's reached the point where they all get frustrated that she hasn't come around yet. It's out of anticipation and not genuine anger (and it isn't Hana's fault either, of course), but it is definitely overdue in their eyes. "Squash..." he whispers in awe. He loves Squash. It's a shame he won't be able to see their little kneazle over the summer. "You should try to, but I don't know if you can."

"I'll find a way." Hana always does. She is already trying to figure out how they will be able to take care of the kneazle while they're both on their respective programs, but she puts a stop to those thoughts in an effort to not get too ahead of herself. "I'm also very excited to meet your family." she says, though admittedly she is rather nervous that they will not find her very warm. She reassures herself that she is much better with adults than other teenagers anyway, so perhaps she should be more concerned about Ignaci's friends in Andorra instead. Once again, her mind drifts to the idea that in just a matter of months, both of them will be pursuing fields of study that they are really truly passionate about. "Speaking of your family... I'm sure they're going to be so proud of you when you tell them." She smiles when she thinks about how fascinating and wonderful dragons must be for muggles.

Ignaci is glad Hana wants to meet his family. He's thought about it before and how she would fit into his family rather well. He's deeply in love with her and has had the time to consider all of the little family traditions and dragging her along for them. The thought brings a smile to his face. "They won't believe me," he answers, sounding rather sure of himself. "My grandparents don't believe me about magic. Or, shit, I don't think so." The extent of their knowledge on the matter is highly questionable. It doesn't seem they understand most of what he tells them, which is very little. His father understands a bit more, but he isn't sure if his father genuinely believes the dragons issue. "I would be the first family member going to...an academic program. We don't know much about mum's family, but we don't think she came from a lot. So, first in the family. It's very exciting." His family will be proud, but it will come across as weirded out surprise. He's sure. Ignaci is fine with that. He loves his family a lot and knows what their reactions really mean. "Your family should be proud too. I'm really proud of you."
