In February of 1962, Sylvia went into Labour, in Saint Mungo's Hospital for Magical Magical Maladies and Injuries. Sylvia was a considerable age when she gave birth- 43 was quite an uncommon age for one to have a child. Nonetheless, the child was healthy, and the Healers gave the glad tidings to Albert: His wife had given birth to a child.
Neighbours recall Einar as being anti-social, quiet, but with an insatiable thirst for knowledge, ever since he was a child. He did take a liking to one particular boy of around his age, Charles Linch, the current advisor to the Minister for Magic.
But behind the happy façade of his early life, his parents' private life was not going well. Albert was, ever since the death of Duncan, undergoing severe depression; and he went through frequent bouts of uncontrollable rage and anger. I spoke to nearby residents around the Faris Household; many of whom confirmed that they would often hear things like glass smashing, shouts from Albert, and other unpleasant noises. With Einar at the tender age of seven, Albert, according to healers who performed his post-mortem, and the Aurors who investigated the incident after, had finally lost it.
According to reports from the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, it so happened that one seemingly normal night turned unsavoury, after Einar was put to bed by Sylvia. Albert, in his room, murdered Sylvia, and then, presumably from the guilt it brought upon him, killed himself. There were no wounds, so it was not a case of Domestic Violence, rather the killing curse was used. If Einar was scarred by these events, he certainly did not show it, according to those who interviewed him after the night.
Orphaned, alone and never to be able to feel his mother's touch again, at the age of eleven, Einar, like all the other witches and wizards of his age, was to receive his letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
