With a faint snap she apparated in front of the door, very easily making her way inside the cozy bedsit. Casting the supersensory charm on herself as she entered, She figured Castle would inevitably respond with anger to her presence. If he did happen to be in a mood that was not familiar she held little interest in being target practice for him.

*Draco staggers back from work exhausted, and having only just resisted the temptation to go and drown his sorrows at "The Leaky Cauldron". Mind you, he's not 100% sure he's not barred from the Cauldron, after the other night. If only he could remember. His mind's still on those events as his key hits the lock.*

Hearing the key at the door a smile comes over her face, She purposely drops a photo of Castle with a vague note in the spot where she stood. She couldn't help but stick around, instead of disapparating she made herself invisible with a NV Bedazzling hex and put her back to a wall hoping to stay out of his way while she ogled him.

*Draco comes through the door and freezes - but only after his wand is out and in his hand. Something's up. His initial impulse to spellcast is quelled by memories of the reports he recently read about the extent of Auror and Obliviator activity necessary to hush up Mad-Eye Moody's excessive use of magic in Muggle neighbourhoods. After all, he picked this place largely because it would, logically, be one of the last places people would look for him. So, he casts an NV Lumos Maxima and steps through with caution.closing the door rapidly behind him with his left hand. He spots something he doesn't remember dropping on the floor in the middle of the room.*

She bit her lip continuing to eye him, knowing she should have made an escape with her mission completed. Curiousity got the better of her and she waited to see his reaction to the physical momento from a fata morgana.

*With continuing caution, and his left hand, he picks up what proves to be a photo from the floor. It's a picture of himself, during his recent "disarray", with the superscription 'To Castle, courtesy of the "figgy pudding of my imagination". We should talk - sometime. Morgana, F'. The composition is eye-catching, and unusually even among wizard photos it is black and white. His photo self shows minimal signs of awareness, but this is hardly shocking. So, someone, presumably the photographer, has been here, and let's face it the locks here would hardly cause a competent witch (and he's 98% certain, for some reason, that 'Morgana' is a woman) to break her stride. It's disconcerting, nonetheless, especially given the hunt for WHPS spies he's just started. There may be a connection - some private blackmail to come. For now he taps the edge of the photo, as he muses, "Fata morgana."*

Unable to contain herself a moment longer she giggled in a very Umbridge-like manner, accidentally giving herself away. In the hopes that her hex had not yet worn off and she was a visible mirage she quickly moved from the wall to beside him, in an effort to dodge any defense he might send in the direction she had been in.

*At the sound Draco casts an NV "Declino alica!" as about the last thing he needs is spells ricocheting around this confined space. The sound could, in his opinion, well have come from one of the Fae, and the impish sense of humour would certainly fit. He casts "Levicorpus!" in the direction the sound seemed to come from.*

Standing beside him, she giggled once more then softly whispered "So close." Expecting him to aim for the sound again, she attempted to mimic his movement and stand behind him keeping herself clear of his defenses. She cast a NV Cistem Aperio around him at the closed door as a distraction over the faint snapping sound as she disapparated.

*The sound is so close, apparently, that Draco whirls 360 degrees with his left arm out, but makes contact with nothing. He spins again as the door pops open, and goes, wand at the ready, to investigate.*

*Draco is on the brink of dredging out an old Durmstrang Dark spell, and damning the consequences, when he senses that he is, at least for now, once more alone. There is a lack of the presence he was only peripherally registering until it was gone - just now.*

Miranda walked past his home very visible at this point looking only a little lost, not to let on that she might be in need of assistance. She would look at him a couple of times and smile, look away and continue walking.

She approached him and innocently asked in a sweet voice with a soft, friendly smile. "Excuse me. I am so sorry to interrupt, but could you tell me if this the proper direction to Luchino Caffe?"

"Erm, Luchino? Oh, yeah, that's the new place round the corner, isn't it? Used to be a Bangladeshi take-away. Yes, down to the end then a left, and it's about eighty yards down on your right.

I know this is going to sound ridiculous, but . . . Have we met, somewhere?"

"It is not ridiculous. I've heard that quite a lot, I suppose I have a familiar sort of face. I am starting to think, it might even be a compliment? You don't look like anyone I've ever met, therefore I cannot say that we have. That is a shame. Thank you for your help, I'll be on my way now and let you get back to your business."

"There's that same earlier 'palpable presence' vibe, and for probably the first time ever Draco regrets that he's not a pet person - at least he would have a plausible excuse for expressing certain thoughts aloud. With care, and in the Muggle manner, he sets about making himself a large mug of Earl Grey, all the while trying to calculate his options and degree of danger.*

*Draco pours the boiling water into the mug - then instantly flings the contents in the direction of the last small sound he's been listening carefully listening for since he started the process, following it with his wand, and casting "Petrificus Totalus!" where the water flow is broken in mid-air.*

Game Master
Send Me an Owl! - 22:22, January 28, 2013 (UTC)
Miranda would not expect this from Draco so the majority of the water HAD in fact gotten on her, not in the face, but the chest/torso area. However in the frightened and painful burning of the water she jumped to the side dodging the spell. The Disillusionment Charm being used by the women would go, it required concentration, and the pain of the water would take that away, making her now visible.

She kept still, even breathing shallow to keep from feeling the water against her skin. "My arm? You mean the front portion of me? It's been through worse. Was that necessary? With your reflexes you could have done without throwing water."
