"You'll be working alongside Beau Smith and Bentley Kingsbury this school year, and will be expected at King's Cross Station on September 1st to ride the train, from Platform 9 and 3/4, in the Professors' Carriage," he recites, "I'm going to need you to report this coming week starting Monday, however, to go over the overall plan for the school year with you and your new coworkers. Hogwarts and Durmstrang are overall different schools with different students and it's just not the kind of environment he may be used to teaching in, which could cause false expectations and lead to problems," he nods. "Well, she has twenty years worth of experience to begin with, which I have to admit I like. She's taught a couple classes and has the administrative experience we want. She's also capable of adapting, since she was able to go from Beauxbatons to Koldovstoretz without a hitch. However, her lack of experience in Hogwarts is concerning. She doesn't understand what Hogwarts needs in a leader, where its weaknesses and strengths lie. She doesn't know how the professors and students interact here. Another point worth mentioning is how vastly different Koldovstoretz is to Hogwarts, down to even the extracurriculars. Beauxbatons may be more similar, but even then I have my concerns, especially since the student bodies are vastly different. Beauxbatons and Koldovstoretz are stricter and have mannerisms different than Hogwarts; the holidays aren't the same, the traditions aren't the same, the mannerisms aren't the same, and the habits students have are vastly different. The dynamics inside classrooms differ, too, I'm sure, which may present the same issue Blumenthal would have with ill-placed expectations and the possibility of arising issues in things she may not like and want to change."

"He may be the least experienced, but his whole career has been at Hogwarts, which in my own opinion, makes him the most qualified candidate. We know how the students interact with him. We know how the other professors interact with him. He understands Hogwarts and what it demands from its Headmaster," he pauses. "He's been Head of Ravenclaw and Head of Gryffindor - I'd say that only reaffirms what I already knew - he's a great professor that students have warmed up to exponentially. And if he was in that position, it's because Elmira trusted him," he says. "His experience teaching pales in contrast to the other candidates', like Blumenthal and Sokolova, but the fact his experience has come from Hogwarts levels it out, in my own opinion. I'd say that right now, he's my favorite candidate out of the four."

"Well... our standings on this are slightly different. I'd say I'd put Chevalier at the top of the list, Sokolova just barely behind him, followed by Mitchell-Anderson and lastly Blumenthal. In my own opinion, his experience at Hogwarts is more valuable than his time teaching compared to the other candidates. And if you see, he didn't immediately go into teaching, either, so issues we could potentially have with the others, we wouldn't see with him. And again, we know there's no issues with him and his employment at Hogwarts, dynamics with students and other professors included," he says. Dunstan hesitates, moving back on his chair and going through the schedule he has for the week, barring any potential problems or sudden situations. "We can send a patronus, asking them to come in tomorrow for an interview. We need a decision done this week, however, as Hogwarts has yet to begin the process of rehiring professors and to be frank, we're running short on time."

"The files say they're all in the country, whether it be a recent move or a long-standing one. As for Blumenthal, I think we can interview him last, but do one nonetheless to see whether there's anything we could discover that could change our views on him," Dunstan suggests.
OOC: I think the questionnaire is actually a better idea. It's faster and easier. There's just 2 more positions that need to be filled, and there's interviews in progress for them both; one is in its early stages and the other is close to done, I'd say. "Alright," he nods. He pauses for a bit, trying to gather his thoughts, before he speaks. "Chevalier lacks the experience Sokolova has. He also doesn't have a well-rounded employment like she does, which may put him at a bit of a cross if he happens to need to step in for another class. Meanwhile, Sokolova has the years of experience and she'd be able to step in for any teacher that fails to do their job properly, no matter the class. It's also worth mentioning that she has administrative experience and thus knows how to deal with a bigger amount of students than Chevalier does, as just head of one house. She's been able to deal with other schools, both of which are culturally very different from one another, and has been able to work through it without making substantial changes to the schools so they fit her own expectations and benefit her own agenda."

"Well... I agree with your points," he says. "I have to admit... I'm still leaning in Chevalier's favor. I understand the point of his few years in the teaching force and his lack of a well-rounded experience in each class. However, his experience with creatures - and near-humans, actually - puts me more at ease with who is at the helm of the school, especially after these attacks. I feel we need someone we know we can trust and whose abilities to teach leave no room to be questioned or challenged. The students need someone they know, trust and believe they can rely on - not someone new who they yet can't connect to. These times are hard, especially for such young minds, and I feel like that sense of familiarity will bring great comfort and relief to them. Sokolova has a lot of experience and maybe in any other time where we aren't going through such a fresh trauma, I'd have sided with her. But I do have to think of the students and make a decision based on what I think will benefit them most. Students cannot learn properly if they are led by someone they don't know and feel like they can't yet trust. I want to avoid that issue altogether. I hope you see where I'm coming from, and not as though I'm trying to make the decision any harder."

"It becomes a Hogwarts issue that they need to personally address when there's an amount of students - whose files are available to the Department of Magical Education - who happen to be lycanthropes, half-vampires, half-veelas, half-nymphs and more. They are thoroughly affected by the happenings of the real world, like the terrorist attacks that took place this past year and stem from hatred towards their kind. Those students' kind. When it affects them, it affects the whole school. It affects the dynamic they have. It is not solely a Ministry issue - it's the Ministry's job to capture the criminals that did this and bring justice. It is, however, the Headmaster's job and the rest of the staff's job to provide comfort and guidance to those affected - directly and indirectly - by the events. It isn't just the Ministry that faces these issues. It isn't just our problem," he says, and then pauses. "We have a current Deputy Headmaster, as well. We can't just fire one person and hire another as replacement; that goes without mentioning that it's Sokolova's decision to pick staff, including Deputy, and while the DoME might have suggestions, it's not in our duties to make those decisions. And as for the Cooperative Education, it's just an idea he pitched, not exactly something he'd set in stone. That is something the Department has a control over," he adds. "I see your point, and I believe that in another point in time where Hogwarts wasn't as rattled as it is, I'd have agreed with you. But right now, I cannot pick Sokolova and rest assured she will not worsen the student body's current states of mind, which would leave us at an impasse and needing the Minister's third input."
