He'd not been expecting anyone, hence his brief look of surprise when he tore his attention away from a mountain of paperwork. "Yes, sure, come on in," he nods.

"I can assure you I'm happy with my current position in the Ministry," he confirms, nodding. "Though it has a lot of work and tends to be draining, I genuinely enjoy what I do."

"The department is running as smoothly as it can, but I do have some concerns with how low the amount of department employees is," he admits. He turns for a moment, going through some folders before pulling out some. "I've been thinking about ways to not only develop the Department of Magical Education, but also get the department going again, and hopefully attract a bigger amount of employees, if you were interested in hearing them?"

"I was hoping we would be able to open a sub-division for Hogwarts School, wherein inspections would be coordinated, along with clubs for the student body over there. I know it's more of Hogwarts business, but for the past couple of years there's been a lack of activities for them. I find it crucial they have a number of options where they can develop who they are. For instance, former club SPEW attracted students with interests within the rights of near-humans and the like. Most those students wound up working for our Department focused on that. These clubs would be excellent to hone what their interests are and where their strengths lie. I feel like we should work on strengthening the areas Hogwarts is currently weak in. I also wanted to re-establish the Animagi Training, as it has been brought to my attention that there are students with the interest in that arena that don't have the necessary resources to achieve their goal, or don't know where to go. I also wanted to work with the Department of Magical Games and Sports, as well as the Department of International Magical Cooperation to hopefully have Hogwarts be a host school for what could be either an inter-school quidditch tournament. It's modern, it's new, and quidditch is very popular amongst students. That's a good way to get to them, to be able to appease to what they want and make their experience at Hogwarts excellent, whilst giving them an even better education. As for the problem of employees - or lack thereof - I was hoping the Ministry would consider establishing an Internship system, where upperclassmen at Hogwarts would be able to secure internships here that helped them better understand how each Department works. They'd be getting a well-rounded education in all of our departments and be able to get some field work done with all of us. That would be for students entering sixth year. I was hoping, for the students entering seventh year, they'd be able to intern in the Department they most felt attached to and/or interested in joining. It could give them a bigger chance of joining the Department right after graduating, as they'd have better understanding of how things work. I feel it's a good way to promote us all and attract new workers, since most students right now have no idea what they want to do, simply because of a lack of understanding of their options."

"That sounds like a great idea. I'll start working on it immediately," he nods.

He shakes his head. "For now? Not quite, other than of course, the staffing issues. If something else happens to arise, I'll let you or the Minister know."
