Clock Tower Entrance

The Clock Tower entrance is one of the three main entrances to Hogwarts. There are two staircases leading to the upper levels. There is a pendulum at the base. The entrance can, at need, be sealed with a portcullis, and the double doors can be reinforced with many locks and bolts.

Dexter and Dido

Dido Marie -Hufflepuff Sixth Year // Feminist // Seer "She sleeps all day. Dreams of you in both worlds."  – Message Me 🜣 Find Me She was sat facing the window, looking down at the students going home for Christmas, shuffling her tarot cards. She spread them out on the ground, her hands hovering over the cards, deciding which to pick. This was her moment, serene, calm and quiet. She loved it.

Dexter Burke - Junior Assistant to the Minster - "It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. " Message Me - 01:38, May 23, 2017 (UTC) His parents had decided to go visit his family in America for the holidays, so Dexter remained at Hogwarts, not wanting to make small talk with Great Aunt Susie. Not thinking anyone would be here, he ran up the stairs making quite a racket, before suddenly stopping as he almost knocked into Dido. "Oh, hey there. Sorry, didn't think anyone would be up here."

 

Dido Marie -Hufflepuff Sixth Year // Feminist // Seer "She sleeps all day. Dreams of you in both worlds."  – Message Me 🜣 Find Me This boy was dangerously close to her cards. She purses her lips, considers saying something, but sighs. "Don't worry. I wasn't expecting anyone else around here either." She says, turning to face him, feeling a sense of compassion. "You're not going home?"

" Message Me - 01:48, May 23, 2017 (UTC) He looked down, seeing her cards, moving carefully as not to step on them. "No, my family is heading to America to see some distant family, and I really didn't want tot have to talk to a whole bunch of them about random shit. Better to just stay here and have some peace."

 

Dido Marie -Hufflepuff Sixth Year // Feminist // Seer "She sleeps all day. Dreams of you in both worlds."  – Message Me 🜣 Find Me She smirks. Imagine turning down a trip abroad. "How's the peace and quiet thing going for you?" She asks, as she turns over a card. The Fool.

Dexter Burke - Junior Assistant to the Minster - "It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. " Message Me - 02:45, May 23, 2017 (UTC) He shrugged. "Well, it's only been like 10 minutes, so not much has happened yet. But I'm looking forward to it. Maybe find some new places in the castle I haven't seen yet." He looked down to the girl. "How one you're staying?"

 

Dido Marie -Hufflepuff Sixth Year // Feminist // Seer "She sleeps all day. Dreams of you in both worlds."  – Message Me 🜣 Find Me She nods, turning the next card around, The Devil. "Fair enough. I'm staying because my mum can't afford to feed an extra mouth." She decides to leave it there, just because she doesn't want to sound too sad-for-herself. "It's okay though. I want to get a head start on the OWLs. I'm Dido, by the way."

I should take the time to open a book before OWLs." He smiled. "I'm Dexter. Nice to meet ya, Dido." He looked down at her cards with a curious gaze. "So, what are those cards?"

Dexter Burke - Junior Assistant to the Minster - "It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. " Message Me - 19:30, May 23, 2017 (UTC) "Oh, really?", he said with a raise eyebrow. "And what does my future hold, Dido?"

Dreams of you in both worlds."  – Message Me 🜣 Find Me She smirks, pointing to the first card, "The Fool represents your past. It symbolises an easygoing, carefree outlook on life, which tells me that prior to recent events things have been going pretty well, and you've used your amiable personality and average-to-good looks to coast you through life." She pauses, "The next card represents the present. The Devil usually represents confusion and self doubt. There may have been a time recently where you've been in two minds, and you feel like you're going out on limbs to make decisions. The card is telling you to stay true to your heart - which leads to the next card. The Lovers. No need for an explanation there?"

" Message Me - 19:58, May 23, 2017 (UTC) "Hmm, well, I don't know how accurate that is..Like, average looks, come on.I don't think I ever doubt myself, and I definitely don't have a lover of any sorts at the moment." He thought about his life. What confusion did he have? Was there someone who loved him?

So it was here she'd taken up as one of her favourite reading spots.

Jarryd Summers - Hufflepuff Alumni // Animagi - Brother's Shadow Message Me – 21:24, May 11, 2017 (UTC) After with going out for lunch with Val and Peter, Jarryd had been trying to stay away from both of his siblings for a little bit. He was riding his skateboard through the castle, up to the Clock Tower entrance, the clock tower giving him some nostalgia.
