Welcome to the out-of-character to in-character calendar! Each out of character (OOC) day is two in character (IC) days. Each left-side-day is the right-side-day listed and the immediate next day.
The Hogwarts Express offers direct service from King's Cross Station to Hogsmeade Station and vice versa at the beginning and end of term and during midterm, Christmas, and Easter breaks. Exact dates will vary slightly from year to year, but they will fall within the range listed.
Start of Term:
- Departs King's Cross Station September 1st
Midterm Break (2 weeks IC):
- Departs Hogsmeade Station last week of October
- Departs King's Cross Station second week of November
Christmas Break (6 weeks IC):
- Departs Hogsmeade Station third week of December
- Departs King's Cross Station first week of February
Easter Break (2 weeks IC):
- Departs Hogsmeade Station last week of March
- Departs King's Cross Station second week of April
End of Term:
- Departs Hogsmeade Station second week of June

The School Year
The Hogwarts Express leaves from Platform 9 ¾ of London's King's Cross Station on September 1st at 11:00 a.m. sharp, and returns during the third week of June.
Students have the option of staying at Hogwarts for the winter and spring holidays. Those who choose to stay at the castle do not have lessons. The Christmas holidays are 2 weeks long, starting before Christmas Eve and ending after New Year's Day. The Easter holidays last all Easter week.
