The murky, black water spans as far as you can see. The air is tainted with the scent of salt water. Still you remain, perplexed by the foggy beauty of your surroundings. You risk putting your feet in the water, despite the fact that the water is home to a hoard of creatures. The cool water entices you into wanting to take a dive.

Lydia would be found walking down at the lake, not choosing to wear shoes and walking ankle deep through the water. She also had traded out her robes for a red t-shirt and skinny jeans she had rolled up just above her ankles, although the very ends of the denim were still quite wet. She isn't doing anything particular - not looking at anything in particular either - and ultimately just walking around in the water.

Her head turns up when noticing the other first year, but it's not Lydia who starts the conversation. "That would be correct," she answers back, glad she had gotten her name right and all. "And you are... Grace?"

Grace nodded. "That's right," she said with a smile. Usually she would have said 'Grace Langston' but not anymore. Maybe she should try taking her biological's mother name. Sutcliffe. "Cute lake, right?"

Lydia wouldn't usually have called the lake cute, but, well, guess the word sort of fits. "Definitely... Except for the fact that I heard it's full of monstrous creatures like a giant squid and ones that'll pull you under."
