She was tapping her feet anxiously. Where was Chikane-san? The twins were chanting 'kaa-san' once every few minutes, so the woman had to shush them gently.

She says as she pries away the ball from the toddler's hands.

He noticed kiyomi marching away from the tent, but the look on her face made it seem as if she didn't want to bothered therefore he decided not to ask. He entered the tent and flopped down on the couch, grabbing a book from the wooden stand right next to ir, not noticing the atmosphere that seemed to choke the air for everyone involved, though he was completely oblivious.
